Completely agree with the 'change both' mantra. I have 90K miles on my rig and just changed both. Started with a hum that got progressively louder above 35 mph. First thought it was my tire, so had them checked. Nope.
Once I realized I could turn the wheel rapidly back and forth and it would go...
Thank you for your replies. I'll chase the water issue starting with headlights and fog lights, as both have aftermarkets in them. I'm going to burn down the gas tank to the light, then fill again with premium and more gas treatment to see if I can make the other code go away. nothing plugged...

In running my vehicle down from NE to FLA last weekend, I got a blinking check engine light. Initial diagnosis was P0300 (of which much has been written of in this forum). I believed it to be from poor gasoline. After using a few fuel additives and the highest octane fuel I could find...
Richard, I haven't considered a glass mount as I thought I'd like sufficient ground plane. You've given me something to verify.
William, the lip mount idea is a good thought as well. Mostly 15 and 20 meters is the desire, which necessitates a bit longer antenna than say, 2 meters would. You...
I am trying to determine as non-invasive way as possible to mount a mobile Amateur Radio (Ham) antenna to a 2017 Yukon XL. Any Ham or CB operators out there that have successfully accomplished this on this particular body style?
If I had my NBS, I could simply bolt it to the rear stainless...
They both are built at the same factory in Arlington Texas. In my research and in talking with owners as well as people who sell them the difference is primarily that of the interior. Mechanics of both vehicles are identical. GMC Versions are at a higher trim level.
I sold my 2004 Yukon XL with over 311,000 miles to a neighbor and purchased a 2017 Yukon XL SLT from the GM Certified Pre-Owned plan. Car was a Enterprise Fleet rental car. Price was $38K with 42K miles on it. Has only 4WD High on mine. I occasionally move a 8,000 lb boat with mine for a friend...
Very interesting that multiple posts on this forum point to the battery grounds for a host of issues. Once you have a chance to put your vehicle through the paces a bit, please let us know if it solved the problem.
Buddy, my money is on you. If anyone can make this into a purring kitten, you can!
Clean the snot out of it, check it as you rebuild and strip off all the stuff you care off your old motor and transfer. Would be interesting to take pressure readings on the cylinders prior to dismantling if...
Great suggestion; I contacted them. Here was White's reply:
Sadly that’s not something that can be done is contact the vendor who made the bar
White Automotive & Media Services
Anyone have any other ideas????
Chuck Whigham came to my house and installed the Ravelco Anti-theft device. Not only is he a consumate professional, the installation is such that you cannot tell where it went into the vehicle. I peered over his shoulder a couple of times and still could not tell where the items were inserted...
I've been researching this for some time with no successful fixes found. I have an Aries Bull bar mounted on a 2017 Yukon XL. It triggers the two central bumper sensors into alert mode and I get the graphic in the DIC as well as seats buzzing constantly. I've asked the dealership if they can...
when this happened on my 2004, it was the encoder motor. if you are handy with a wrench and need the truck to work now, remove the encoder motor (4-6 bolts if my memory services me), take a pair of needle nose pliers and reach in and grab the item that looks like a bolt with two ends shaved...
My 2017 XL had what felt like a miss when idling at a stoplight while burning regular gasoline. I switched to mid-grade some fill ups and premium others. Now runs buttery smooth and cannot even tell it's running. For me, BIG difference in type of gas. 5.3 L, not the 6.2.
As promised, here's an update:
Chuck Whigham came to my house to install the Ravelco Anti-theft device today. Not only is he a consumate professional, the installation is such that you cannot tell where it went into the vehicle. I peered over his shoulder a couple of times and still could not...
Click the blue link above and plug in ZW7 in the filter by box, and the ones I referenced will be the only showing for the rear. I love Rock Auto, they have most everything I've needed for 3 diff autos. The suspension codes are in parenthesis after each part under the ones listed as original...
For ZW7, which is what mine has, Rock Auto sells
DELCO 5601036 (560-1036) Shock Absorber $ 50.99 each. I just put two of these on mine (rears only). They reference as original equipment replacement for ZW7.
EXACTLY what happened to mine with I threw a 0305 (cyl 5 misfire) code. only happened once; never again. Have the code read as others suggest and if it doesn't happen again, don't worry about it.
