Transmission Slipping, searching for gear 16k miles

I guess final update: I've decided to trade the car in. I can't own a vehicle with such questionable reliability. GM corporate didn't/wouldn't do the one thing I asked for, which was to provide me with a loaner or rental while they figured out my truck, that's all. They said I should drop it...

Transmission Slipping, searching for gear 16k miles

Appreciate all the help. I am going to contact Chevy corporate next week, it seems to be getting worse. Drove about an hour highway each way today, 205* on the way up, 200* on the way back. RPM's jumping around even on flat ground cruise control on. Something is definitely wrong

Transmission Slipping, searching for gear 16k miles

Thanks everyone for the replies. Can anyone elaborate on the tuning or on which trans fluid you put in? I'll pay for a flush myself if it means I don't have to trade the car in, which I was seriously thinking about before it craps the bed on me.

Transmission Slipping, searching for gear 16k miles

2019 Tahoe LT Like the title says, the trans started slipping a lot recently. When you are going around a corner at low speed for example and then hit the gas again, it will lug down in a high gear or "kick" into gear and just generally slip, shift a lot, search for gear. Runs 195+ degrees all...

    2019 Tahoe Rear Suspension/Brakes creaking

Well I believe I may have solved the issue. I zip tied the parking brake cables in the keeper, but the noise did not stop. I checked the top bushing and lubricated the hose wrapped around the brake cable with white lithium grease and that seemed to do the trick for now.

    2019 Tahoe Rear Suspension/Brakes creaking

Hi all, Very frustrated right now. I have made 2 payments on my truck, and it has 5500 miles on it (I drive a lot, plus moved cross country). Around the time of the first oil change, I began to hear this creaking like an old mattress or old box spring over speed bumps and low speed driving. The...

New 2019 Tahoe Owner - Crappy halogen help

Looks great! That's obviously the preferred way, but I didn't want to get too involved with my brand new vehicle. I think the SL1 is a nice compromise. 48818CBC-65EF-4583-B8EB-2F0ED281AFB4 by Sublimize23 posted Jan 10, 2019 at 9:07 PMDCBBC016-3BB1-4671-A022-F006F5EE547D by Sublimize23 posted...

New 2019 Tahoe Owner - Crappy halogen help

Yeah, everything fits snugly with no modifications needed. You will need to remove the airbox and use a push rivet removal tool for the passenger side though. You'll never notice it, it's hardly noticeable with the engine off and the dust cover open while I was testing it.

New 2019 Tahoe Owner - Crappy halogen help

After running these for a day and driving my commute (1.25 hours) in the dark on the way home, these are definitely adequate. I think HID would fill out the beam pattern a little more and throw the light slightly further, but the Diode Dynamics SL1 are a huge upgrade.

New tires and LED fogs for ‘15 Tahoe

Looking good! I live in West Chester too and near you as well, one of those photos looks like my local Ace parking lot haha. I'll keep an eye out for your tahoe!

New 2019 Tahoe Owner - Crappy halogen help

Update: diode dynamics SL1's arrived and installed. The good: definitely somewhat brighter than halogen, good beam pattern with no dark spots or glare. This will hold me over until I can HID swap The bad: the mounting tabs (H11) are crap. One tab on each bulb broke as I was installing it. I...

New 2019 Tahoe Owner - Crappy halogen help

Thanks all. I did some more research and ordered the Diode Dynamics SL1 set. I figure this one is at least designed to be optically similar to the halogens. It can't be worse than the stock lights. If that's still not up to expectations, I'll return them and have a shop do an HID install for me.

My only concern about that is the warranty, I didn't want to start drilling the dust caps either.

New 2019 Tahoe Owner - Crappy halogen help

Happy new owner of a 2019 LT with luxury package! Love everything about it except one thing - the horrible headlights. I bought some Lasfit H11 LEDs off amazon and while the color looked great, they were even dimmer than the halogens. What are my options? I know there is a (very) active vendor...
