    Thank you for the research gat0r. No, that squeak doesn't sound like it. The squeak is too short and is consistent. Mine only happens upon depressing the pedal, its about 2-3 seconds long and then stops. No noise upon release of the pedal.

    Thank you gat0r; It's inconsistent, but I can try...it doesn't happen every time tap the breke. No work has been done recently. The last work was a nail in a tire, which was fixed. Gretchen

    Doesn't sound like a metal on metal. It occurs when I press the brake pedal. The noise stays the same pitch and volume and then stops. More like a belt squeal.

    Thanks for answering, Galante. To me it sounds like it is coming from under the steering column, in the inside of the truck. It doesn't happen all the time, and it doesn't happen (yet) when the truck has been driven during the day.

    Hello All; I have been a member since 2017, and have lurked, reading all of your posts. I checked for this problem and haven't found anything like it. When I depress the Brake pedal, in the morning, before I start my 2016 Chevy Tahoe, SOMETIMES, not always, there is a loud high pitched...
