    coolant leak 01 tahoe

Well Mine in my 06 was actually at the Y connection that's between the Waterpump, reservoir, and the inner connection on the Firewall. Upon replacement of the hose, I found the leak was caused by cracks in the Y fitting. That plastic gets very brittle and will break easily once old and yous...

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

Actually 517K now.. One interesting note, that is likely not related, the engine hours has reset on it's own twice.. Now I tried to find a way to reset it when the engine was replaced, but no luck.. then randomly one day it just reset. It's done that once somewhere around 200K and then again...

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

I'm a bit curious as well. I think we can rule out the PCM reflash. 2 trips ago, it reset to 100% just like normal. And since then the only time they plugged into the computer port was to learn new TPMS senders, and that was after it started the downfall. I think I said it here but I hanve't...

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

FWIW, I did the battery disconnect for 15 minutes, and still no change it's resetting to 50%. I also checked and I can do a Oil Life reset either way, peddle pump, or bring it up on the dash and hold the reset until it says "Oil Life Reset". The pedal pump method is the one that's in the owners...

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

Nahh actually lost 2 more % it's now resetting to 50% instead of 52%. But C Phase on the Flux Cap is all lined up. It was about 6 degrees out of sequence.

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

I could do that, but I don't really see the point, first I have to wait until it goes down at least some to reset it again. So you can see that yes, I do know how to do the reset function, and that it does exactly as I described and goes back to a lower percentage than 100% But right now I...

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

Okay.. Gee did we not read the first message? I know How to do the reset, but it won't reset to 100% (currently only to 52%) Hence the reason for the question. PS mine requires that I turn the key on and pump the gas pedal 5 times.. But that's NOT the point.. The point is there is a problem...

How to fix Hot Air when A/C is on. Install new air mix/blend door actuator

Just a though, make sure you can operate the blend door manually. It could be that it's got some trash in there that's keeping it from moving properly.

How to fix Hot Air when A/C is on. Install new air mix/blend door actuator

One side note to this.. Until you replace or repair the actuator, you can usually turn off and on the motor and it will go back to cold when it does the reset. It also helps to keep the temp set to the lowest setting so the computer doesn't try to reposition the blend door and it stays on full...

    Battery or electrical.

Well that was a good resolution, and an easy fix. Not many vehicles have an alternator that's as easy to remove and replace as the Tahoe. Also by removing the alternator and testing separately from the vehicle you removed the ECM from the equation.

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

Well, I would think this has absolutely nothing to do with the oil. Since the oil life condition is simply an electronic algorithm based on driving conditions along with time and mileage to generate a guestimate of the oil condition. Now as to answer your question, it's on it's second motor...

    Battery or electrical.

My experience makes me think it's going to a bad connection. I recently had a similar but different problem that I found the cure for by accident. In my case I was getting voltage surges that would reset the dash, and cause all sorts of warnings. (not to mention blow light bulbs). What I think...

Oil Life doesn't reset to 100%

I've tried searching for this, but came up empty so far. So I'm hoping someone here will have an idea. For years my 06 Tahoe Z71 4WD 5.3, would properly reset the oil life back to 100%. Now for the last 2 oil changes it has decided that it doesn't want to. On the previous reset attempt it...
