5.3L engine overheat mystery
Turns out there is only ONE head gasket for my specific vehicle. However there is a DESIGN 1 and DESIGN 2 of that gasket. I was not aware of that, and my local parts guys didnt bother to mention it upon my ordering one. But regardless im all good to go now as far as the Head Job goes.. but...- Alicia P

My 2001 yukon 5.3l had an issue with overheating and amongst several other things we noticed a constant air bubble problem in the coolant resevoir, needless to say we decided we needed to pull the heads.
