    Which painted vent caps?

The Escalade third brake light.... hmmm, my stock one needs to be replaced anyway. That looks good. I was hoping for that. The stock ribbed ones just don't look that great painted a light color, I guess. Okay, I'm sold. Thank you

    Which painted vent caps?

I had my mind made up to order some smooth vent caps and paint them white to match my XL, but I found two sets of Escalade caps in the pick-n-pull and they kind of grew on me after a few minutes of picturing them on my truck... but will they look good painted white on the back of my Yukon...

Good eye. It WAS an edelbrock product, lol. Or at least the top was. I milled out their name and welded in a flat plate. I love cheap aluminum dress up parts. I pick up any that I find in junkyards, then use them as the need arises. A little welding, polishing, and paint can recycle that junk...

Okay, Tony, I have pics of one other project stored on my phone. My boss bought this truck out of Texas as a birthday gift for our company president. There were about 6 people working on it off and on over a 2-3 week period. My contributions were a new SS battery box, aluminum mounts for a...

Need to lift the rear of my Yukon

lol, I work with a guy who has an 07 Denali with 7" front lift, no rear lift, and he is sporting 35s on 24" wheels. The rest of the truck is super nice, but he ruined it with that stance. Looks like a dog dropping a turd.

    Lifting a 2wd

I know a bunch of guys riding around in shiny lifted 4x4s that would be better off with lifted 2wds. Some people just want the look. All of those guys with the "layed backs", or whatever they call them, could have built 2wds instead and they would be better off for it. One of my first truck...

There are a bunch of things that I would like to do to this Yukon, but it will be a slow process, and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to go with this thing. I make a lot of parts for vehicles, unfortunately they are usually other people's vehicles. I do like showing off my work...

First trip into the woods... Gonna need some changes.

My kids and I took ours out in the woods last weekend. I was surprised at how good it felt offroad for how low and heavy it is. We stayed in the tamer areas and it was really dry, but still, the big XL pulled surprisingly well considering my 275/55/20 highway treads. The G80 diff works better...

Thanks guys. I have a couple pics of the grill and emblems on my phone, I think. That's about it though. I'll take pics of the engine cover when I reinstall it. I'm using mine to test fit a cover for my nephew's Silverado build. My little stick-on GMC decals started falling off the SS wheel...

I've been lurking around here a little lately, and I've seen a lot of good info and helpful posts, so I thought I should join. I have a 2003 Yukon XL 1500 4x4. I swapped on the 20" wheels and 275/55/20 tires from a Silverado SS, and cranked the bars a little for clearance. I stripped the roof...
