The one I used is a Moog brand. No warning sign, just broke. Thankfully it was right after pulling out of a driveway and not driving down the road.
The Tahoe takes after its owner, I had to wear a corrective shoe as a kid to fix my pigeon toe lol
Replaced the inner the rod on the passenger side only for it to snap clean off 3 days later. So it got a tow and warranty replacement part at no charge.
It is mostly when turning, but also when I just put it in drive it hardly wants to move on its own without giving it any throttle. As soon as its back in 2WD its just fine. No gears have been changed, its all basically factory besides the small lift and the wheels/tires.
I'm running into an issue with my 4WD binding up on my Tahoe. I have the Supreme Suspenions torsion key lift with pucks for the rear. Is the best way to solve this issue to switch over to a complete lift kit that comes with the differential drop parts? I'm sure this is because my axles are...
I have an 06 Tahoe 5.3L that has a 3" lift. Currently indexed keys and pucks in the rear. I have an issue with the 4WD seems to bind and not want to move without giving a heavy foot. I don't feel like this is normal and was wondering if there is anything I can do with my front differential to...
Does the speed engineering long tubes matched with their catless y-pipe go to factory position to bolt up to the factory exhaust? It would only be temporary until I get them full 3" exhaust delivered. Just trying to knock one job out at at time.
Did some basic maintenance and noticed that my factory exhaust manifolds/exhaust piping is starting to rust pretty good. I'll be looking in spring time to get new headers and a complete exhaust replacement. I don't intend on doing much to upgrade performance, so it'll just be for sound. Any...
I'm persistent. I won't stop until I find one. I'll probably over pay by double and get one that needs the material repaired...but I'll have one... lol
If you're serious about getting into audio and functionality (and have spare change) I'd highly recommend the Stinger Heigh10. I have one in my Tahoe and it is easily the best head unit I've ever owned. Plus having the giant monitor just looks bad ass. Phone connectivity and the option for...
Parts are slowly starting to pile up in my garage. I have power steering lines, e-brake cables, front end impact sensors, and a few other random things to put on my Tahoe. Hoping in the next few days I can get some free time after dinner and knock out as much as I can before the weekend, gotta...
Scratching my head a little bit this morning...
I have a power steering whine but only when I turn left. Fluid is full, pump is relatively newer, lines aren't leaking (minor wetness due to age), front end parts are new (as of 4 months ago) and greased properly. I cannot find why this only...
I just ordered the front and intermediate emergency brake cables, Dorman cabin filter retrofit kit, rear evaporator core, ACS rear AC lines, and I'm trying to find replacement bushings for the steering stabilizer I bought from Rough Country because in less than 6 months they are falling off...
The people have spoken, the flares will remain intact! I'll have to get a quote for color matching. I may just try to find replacement OE smooth ones for that though.
Good point sir. These are the last few I have of it. I'm leaning towards removing them, I have new bumpers that will be paint matched as well as the HD hood. I'll get the grill painted at the same time I install those parts too.
So now the next question is...To remove the factory fender flares or not? After fixing all the rust and the body looks much better, I'm questioning keeping the textured fender flares.
The Mrs. wants the kids to be comfortable on long road trips. Thinking that might be the deciding factor for me. I believe I have the know how to do it, hopefully it doesn't "hurt locker" me.
Since we are on the subject of AC work, how many people have tackled replacing the rear evaporator core and lines? I just ordered a kit from autocoolingsolutions.com and I want to know if its a one day job or am I breaking out the top shelf whisky and spending a weekend in the garage?
