    Look at your back diff cover, if you have 10 bolts you have a GM 10 bolt 8.5/8.6 ring gear, if you have 14 bolts you have the 9.5 inch ring gear, the 8.25 inch is the front IFS differential.

    Same for me, I however have the regular knob, I dont get to see the fancy numbers, My front heat hasnt worked since 2010, I haven't bothered to fix it but I probably have a bad heater, will look into it and report back when I do preventative maintenance on my water pump and coolant.

    technically it is rebuilt, but not 100% rebuilt. The good thing is you dont have to break it in and if in great shape it can last just as long as a new set. GM gear sets were good anyways better off than most other cheap sets in the aftermarket.
