22" snowflake wheels with Contiental TerrainContact A/T tires

Added some GM 22" snowflake wheels (they are making a come back as optional wheels on 2020 GMC trucks) and went with Continental TerrainContact A/T tires in OE size, 285/45R22. Super quiet and still good off-road tread when needed.

    2018 Denali grille swap

No need to take it to a body shop although it must be about as easy as anything for one who does this sort of work day-in, day-out. No cutting on the Denali grille, I'm fairly certain the SLE grilles are idential in size. The biggest trouble I had was on the snaps holding the bumper fascia on...

Should I try running E85? Or stick with unleaded.

Ethanol is a joke propagated by the corn lobby in Iowa. If the consumer had the option to buy gas with an without blended ethanol, the ruse would be up in months. It's only profitable when the crony pols force refineries to put it in our gasoline via law - crony capitalism.

SuspensionMaxx Leveling kit - alignment necessary?

Interesting, thanks for the replies. I've had to put off installing my SuspensionMaxx kit and hope to get to it this next weekend. Going to just do the 2" up front only and was hoping to avoid an alignment but the tires are due for rotation anyways. The instructions appear to imply that if you...

Tahoe 6.2 with 10 speed milage issue Buyer remorse

Make sure you don't have it in AUTO mode (if you had 4WD and the two-speed transfer case ), make sure you're using 93 octane and not E85 (that will give you horrible mileage despite it's higher octane rating,) and at last, fill up from a different source before you go any further to rule out...

SuspensionMaxx Leveling kit - alignment necessary?

I'm leaning towards a 2" SuspensionMaxx leveling kit for my '17 Denali 4x4. Goal is to raise the front end a bit like a 4x4 truck should have come from GM (don't get me started on all that I've done on that front,) and make it appear more in line with the rear. Don't think I need or want 2.25"...

    Level with magneride?

I think that is the route I will take, as well. 2" SuspensionMaxx kit up front only. Certainly would prefer not to disconnect the upper ball joint if I don't have to.

New ‘18 Tahoe Owner - Leveling Advice Needed

I want to level my 4x4 Denali as well, but am not certain which spec to go with in order to make it look level. If I can do just the 2" SuspensionMaxx kit, that would be my preference.

    RST Brembo package

Are these Brembo calipers the same calipers (size?) off a late model Camaro SS? (2010+) I can get those relatively inexpensively off Craigslist.

Lifetime Fuel Economy - 6.2 liter engine

The 6.2 doesn't get near as bad mileage as the SRT 392 but if you're too cheap to put in premium in a 420hp V8 with 11.5:1 compression, do yourself a favor and get the 5.3L V8 and don't worry about.

LED high beams '17 Yukon Denali - 9005 or H10?

Spoke with Vanquish Auto yesterday and they said they are going to get me some 9005 bulbs and give me a shipping label to send back the H10's when I get them. The LED's otherwise look great and I look forward to getting them installed.

Best place to buy OEM 22" wheel and tire packages?

These guys do a great job and run a lot of Ebay auctions and ship a lot of wheels/tires. They gave me a nice 10% Veteran discount, too. https://www.texastrucktire.com/

Lifetime Fuel Economy - 6.2 liter engine

22.5 mpg for about 190 miles on my way home last night. Truck says avg. speed was 70mph, but I had plenty of runs 75-80mph. I'm good with that.

LED high beams '17 Yukon Denali - 9005 or H10?

I ordered a set of Vanquish LED's for my high beams, invoice says 9005 as that is the bulb the website says that I need, confirmed by the OE bulb that I removed. I was however sent an H10 kit and was told that they would fit. Is there any reason why I can't get these H10 LED's to fit in the OE...

2 Included maintenance visits - did you use them and how did it go?

Personally I think it's a missed opportunity for M1 in the way they market their new Annual Protection. I have no intention of letting my OCI go 20,000 miles, let alone 15k or even 10k. I'll go by what the vehicle oil life monitor tells me, and more than likely not even get to 7,500 miles...

    2018 Denali grille swap

Found it! It's called a CPA and it's a Molex connector, 33472-1606. Went to Molex's website, searched the part number, found one of their distributors who would ship just one, and got it for about the same price that it cost the USPS to ship it to me...

    2018 Denali grille swap

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well but the way this connector is designed there just isn't anywhere to put a zip tie. The GM p/n for my 2017 Denali is labeled as a front bumper harness and retails for a little over a $100. I found a used pigtail cutoff from the rest of the harness with a...

2 Included maintenance visits - did you use them and how did it go?

I changed the oil in my '17 Yukon myself at about 2,900 miles as I wanted to get in some M1 0w-20 Annual Protection and a M1 EP filter. M1 has some great rebates right now and I wanted the best protection I could get for my 6.2L since iIm not entirely thrilled of the 0w-20 requirement by GM...

    2015 + Weld-in Exhaust Options

Unless you are looking for certain exhaust tips, I'm not sure there is much value to be had with a cat back on these Tahoe/Yukon exhaust systems. With the 6.2's they come with 3.5" pipe and I certainly would not want to put a cat back exhaust on that went down to 3" pipes. From a functional...

    Battery replacement

Utterly disgusting that GM is so cheap (Give Mary another bonus,) that they can't even give you an AGM battery from the factory on your $60K+ SUV. Difference between ACDelco 94RPS and 94AGM is about $30. There are a handful of 94R AGM batteries available that offer 800 and 850 CCA. AGM batteries...
