It wasn’t too hard to be honest. Drop headliner enough to reach the bolts holding them in and pull them through and skip wires.
There are 4 holes, 2 on each side. Bigger one is probably 3/4” and the small one smaller than the width of a pen.
I used heavy duty gorilla tape underneath to...
Pulled the headliner down last night and deleted the XM antenna as well as the Onstar. Only things left to do before the wrap now is to fill the holes left over and drop my running boards.
Took mine off shortly after buying the rig last Januray. Put in some teflon wrapped set screws along with some silicone and then used some black rustoleum to touch up the metal "knobs" that remain. I honestly don't have any idea where the rack is. Probably in my shed out back. Couldn't tell you...
I did it as a trade deal..But for tax purposes we are setting the retail price @ $2500 for the film + labor with the agreement that I am to deliver it to his shop needing no prep work to the paint (I strip all product, clay surfaces, paint correction if needed). Price does NOT include door jams...
Washed & stripped coatings and wax off, pulled moldings, and did some minor paint correction with my DA and Megs compound. All this in preparation for my full color change wrap. I have to say if you've never used a 3M wheel that they are absolutely amazing. Some people say they're expensive, but...
Yes sir....I reached out to you several months ago looking for a local source for paint and body work and you sent me right to Jim & Monica. Good people and legit work. They're the ones who painted my appliques and did the work on the fender from my little incident awhile back.
I wasn't planning on repainting at the moment due to the impending wrap being put on. Although I hadn't really thought about having backing panels to handle the stress, but it makes logical sense to me.
I dunno....My understanding of the reinforced bondo is that it negates the need for backing...
Yesterday had the 5 holes in the rear gate left from my wiper delete filled and leveled. Had them use bondo glass as opposed to welding since I was told the heat can do a number on the paint.
Here's a picture of the back of the truck shortly after I bought it January 2019..
And today...
+1 to what others have said already. I bought my current Yukon last January with a set off 22"'s on it that I hated...Bought a set of 20"'s with existing tires and then my current set of 20"'s also with existing tires. Through all 3 sets of wheels I always had a high speed wobble and couldn't...
Finally got around to debadging the Denali logos on the front doors. Took a little patience and elbow grease but managed to remove all traces of them. I originally was going to replace them but decided against it. If anyone wants the pair of new Denali logo badges they're yours for the taking.
Nice find. I'm also in OR. My son found an 04 Denali SWB with 72K down in Salem back in January. He wanted my 02 Yukon SLT and I wasn't giving it up. LOL. Smart kid...
Ok...Sorry if this is a stupid question...But is it safe to assume to accomplish that task I would either need an exhaust shop or a skilled metalworker whom could safely and professionally remove the extra tubing?
Are there any ill effects to doing so? If I can get away with effectively...
Hey ya'll. I've been looking to pull my stock bumper off and replace with a rollpan ever since I got my Denali in January and finally pulled the trigger.
Still need to get it painted along with a few minor adjustments but overall I'm very happy with the look.
It sure does expose the exhaust...
Just wanted to give you a belated thanks for your detailed reply!! I'm happy to say I ended up getting er all wired up plus added a backup camera at the same time. On to the next project.
Searched until my brain hurt and still have a few questions on which wire mates to which
I just bought an 04 Yukon Denali SWB then went and got the Kenwoos DDX8905S DVD receiver along with the PAC R5-GM11 harness to retain my steering wheel controls, OnStar and so forth.
I've soldered and...
215K on my '02 Yukon SLT. Was my daily for the past decade before I picked up my 04' Denali that has 72K on it. Looks and drives as new. Took it into GMC and got a clean bill of health. The previous owner even did me the favor of deleting the auto ride and then lowering it. My son will continue...
Someone ran into my 02 Yukon the other day as I was opening the door and now my door is mashed into my front fender and cannot open. I've been trying to find a YouTube video to show me how to remove the fender but cant seem to find one.
Anyone have anything they could link me to for a howto...
Update to thread. Went back to shop on Friday. 10 minute adjustment and all is good. Turns out when they were installed they had them pointed down too far. Went out that night on a long drive in the dark and I am much happier. I'm going to go get that 4 high mod taken care of next.
