all the more reason I am not happy they went away from the van doors. the lift gate is a bad design that offers nothing over the van doors yet comes with a slew of negatives. why chevy, why???
I would love to be able to do this as well but I dont think its exactly an easy mod. Probably requires swapping seats at least. Dumb to include heated but not cooled. Although I suspect heated is a much simpler process versus cooling. I would have paid a few bucks extra to get the cooled but...
Same angle? It looks to be raised at the hatch so that the “floor” is flat when the lid is shut which would fix one of my biggest gripes about my sub, all the crap rolling toward the hatch and falling out upon opening.
Yup same issue with my 17 Sub. I took out the wedge shaped floor compartment and that fixed the problem but then exposed the seat motors so I put it back in. Even with a weather tech cargo mat in the rear compartment crap still slides to the rear and falls out when you open the hatch. Some...
considering some different wheels for my ride. Looking at a set of 22x9 off a 2015 Sierra. I believe they are 0 offset versus +24mm 18x8.5” on my Z71 2017 Sub. Is this a viable swap? Thanks
If you are towing you want a lower gear ratio not a higher ratio.
3.42 is lower than 3.08
I have 3.42 and wish it was 3.73
A high ratio is for highway mileage and greater top speed
It had 100 miles on it 3 weeks ago at National Car Rental so I woukd say whatever is out as new now. I didn’t look for door jam tag to determine date of manf.
I recently put 1000 miles on a new Escalade and was greatly disappointed in the 6.2 I figured it would but heads and shoulders above my 5.3 in my 17 Sub, not the case. Yeah it was a bit quicker but I was in a regular Escalade versus my bigger Sub so a lighter vehicle. Honestly I think a 3.73...
Looks good to me! Stock vehicle otherwise? Should be easy to get in there to clean out brake dust. That’s one of my pet peace’s. Nasty brake dust visible between the spokes of clean black wheels.
Never heard of such a thing but I will definitely look into it now. Been on the fence about lifting my 17 Z71 since I bought it. The warrantee is the only reason I haven’t done it yet. This may push me over the edge. Did tge 6” kit get you a true 6” and was any other mods, like NorCal or...
I pulled out the sloped rear pizza storage tray from my 17 Sub. 2 thumbscrew and lift it out. Much better! Flat floor so all your crap dies slide to the hatch and dump out at your feet when the hatch is opened.
Help me undertand the offset issues you mention. I am thoroughly confused. You went with +30 but tried -25 but are afraid of anything wider then +15 ??
I want to add the same tires to my 2017 Z71 that is level. I would like to step up from factory 18" wheels to 20 or 22" as well. This whole...
interesting. Not sure I am ready to remove my rear seat but would like to flatten the rear cargo area. It seems to me that the under cover storage are is about useless for anything othern than stashing a couple of pizza boxes and that it slopes to the rear hatch. Can you just remove the storage...
Does this set up use factory calipers? I’m not impressed with my factory set up but don’t want to drop several thousand on wilwoods. If there’s a middle ground where I get improved braking without breaking the bank I’m interested.
