Ahh OK that is good to know at least GM changed their stance on that. I was under the impression they were not able to be modified for BCM like if you needed one and grabbed one from the junkyard that it could not be re-programmed for another vehicle or add an RPO or other.
Good information about HP Tuners as well as changes that BlackBear can make. Did not realize that they would do tune changes but since I loaned the AutoCAL I guess that wouldn't have been an option for me. Either way recommend to run at least midgrade even if you are not tuned I believe.
I would buy one just for the already lowered aspect, but I assume that is on the 2WD models only. Maybe I will come upon another Tahoe later in life that will suit my needs at that point. Do like the clean sides though without the moulding that can rust out.
I would love to have something like this in my garage. I do have 9ft ceiling in the first floor of the house so I do have a little more height than normal. Hmmm decisions. Was looking at a quick jack but a 2 post may end up costing around the same in the end.
Had 128K and purchased with I think 115 so I did not put many miles on it. Someone else definitely will get some life out of. Tuned BlackBear performance PCM with AFM delete.
Though you may be out of luck you usually cannot re-program the BCM. I know for my Pontiac Grand Prix they are write once and you have to have a new one to program. Not sure the same on Tahoe but I bet since dealer wants to make money.
