Traded in a 2016 Yukon Denali for a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali

The 8-speed transmission in the 2016 Yukon Denali is not dependable. I wanted to get rid of it. I miss the V8 engine but the Acadia Denali is quite comfortable. I thus must leave this forum. I do like the GMC brand over all other GM brands. It is a luxurious brand without being pretentious. I...

Traded in the 2016 Yukon Denali for a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali

The 8-speed transmission in the 2016 Yukon Denali is, in my opinion, a failure. The noise in the passenger seat never ceased. OnStar stopped working because of water infiltration into the antenna. The left-front suspension had to be replaced because of noise. I will miss the 6.2 litre V8...

    Armor All for Dashboard

When I have used Armor All in the past, not only did it leave a shiny dashboard, it also left a gummy dashboard. So I don't want to use it anymore.

Thanks for the reply. Can you recommend something better?

    Armor All for Dashboard

Is Armor All the best protectant to use for a dashboard? Vehicle is a 2016 GMC Yukon Denali. I see mixed reviews about Armor All. Argument against is that the silicone in Armor All breaks down plastics.

2016 or 2018 Yukon Denali - Which Is Better?

If you were purchasing a Yukon Denali, do you recommend choosing the 2016 or the 2018? If there a substantial difference other than the new grill? My lease runs out soon. The purchase price on my 2016 is a good deal so I am leaning towards purchasing.

    2018 Denali Adaptive Cruise Control

I found out that there is a disadvantage to the adaptive cruise. When there is a lot of snow and ice, the sensors cannot sense the distance between by 2016 Yukon Denali and the car ahead.

How many of you actually off-road with your 2015 and newer Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/XL?

My AWD Denali does great in heavy snow because of auto 4WD.

Optimal Speed with 6.2 Liter Engine for Towing

I had not idea that trailer tires might have an MPH. Amazing. Is there any way that I can find out by looking at the trailer tire itself to find out the maximum speed? I have never towed anything before. All information is welcome. How can I find out the best speed for the trailer tires?

Optimal Speed with 6.2 Liter Engine for Towing

I did not know about the MPH in your state. Do you think that 55 MPH is the optimal speed for towing? I need to do more research into whether my state imposes the same limitation. I am new to towing. So I am asking questions - and some of my questions will no doubt sound stupid to people who...

Optimal Speed with 6.2 Liter Engine for Towing

Thanks very much for the advice about speed and suggestions re upgrades. My intent is always to be a safe driver. I owe a duty to other drives to be a safe driver. Your suggestion about not exceeding 65MP makes sense to me. I have never towed before. So I am seeking advice from others who...

Optimal Speed with 6.2 Liter Engine for Towing

Safety is always my priority. My question, however, is not about safety. My question is about the life of the engine. My question is the following: do higher speeds of an engine when towing causes greater wear and tear than when the engine is not towing? Are you able to understand that...

    2015 Escalade noises

In my 2016 GMC Yukon Denali, which is basically the same vehicle that you have, I have not experienced the whining noise when applying full throttle. I also have not experienced the intermittent clicking noise from the steering column when maneuvering. However, I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE CLUNK...

    2015 Escalade noises

I do not know whether what I will write will be helpful to you. I leased a 2015 Escalade with the six-speed transmission. I kept it in "auto 4WD" for all of the miles. Eventually, I started hearing undesirable noises when slowing down the vehicle. I think that GM knew of some sort of defect...

    6.2 for Chevy

I recommend the 6.2 liter engine no matter what. It is my understanding that Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon owners can choose the 6.2. I had the 6.2 in an Escalade and now have the 6.2 in a Yukon Denali. I did drive a 2015 Suburban with the 5.3 and found it adequate and responsive. But if you can...

Do I really need 4WD? 2017 Yukon XL Denali

Dear Friend, if you can afford 4WD, I recommend that you choose it. I have a 4WD 2016 Yukon Denali. When road conditions are poor, I select AUTO 4WD. Again, if you can afford the extra money for the 4WD system, I recommend that you do so. Most of the time, I keep my system in 2WD. The only...
