    A/C Compressor Replacement

Thanks for the fast reply. I figured it would be ok just wanted to double check. The clutch is not engaging but the build up of corrosion is starting to catch and drag on the clutch causing the grinding. I am planning on getting one with the oil prefilled and the shop can handle the flush and...

    A/C Compressor Replacement

Hello All, I just added to the family a 99 Suburban with the 5.7 w/306k miles. It needs its fair share of items but the previous owner was pretty on top of maintenance. The GMC dealership dropped in a new engine at 238k and a local transmission shop rebuilt the 4L80 along with a new T case and...

    2004 rear fan

All these systems do work together but I am not too sure how a faulty AAT sensor would be the culprit for your specific issues. I am leaning towards the control module. My shop told me they would hook it up to their programmer and make any of the necessary programming assuming it was the control...

    2004 rear fan

My diagnosis is from working on my 2003 Esky which should be the same. From what I understand the blower motor resistor controls fan speed and the Control module sends the commands to the actuators to move the blend doors. I bought the control module in 2017 (AC Delco 15-73506) and it fixed my...

    2004 rear fan

Part of the reason that actuator door fails in the rear HVAC unit is the plastic gears over time wear and the door overextends itself and gets stuck when it moves moves from ac to heat. The part is easy to replace but if you do not do either the calibration procedure or have it dove via Tech2...

    2004 Denali AWD

Having the ability to have all four wheel receive torque instead of just the rear ones greatly increase your traction in slippery conditions. A vehicle's AWD system is always sending torque to all for wheels all of the time and depending on the sophistication of the system, can redirect more or...

    Front electronic shocks

I agree with the above. Most likely the rear shocks are torn and don't hold air anymore, which in turn probably over time burned your compressor out trying to fill them. I recall a conversation with a Cadillac service tech a while back when I replaced my rear shocks and compressor as I also...

    Estimated value 2003 Suburban

I agree with some of the input here and believe that your location has a lot to do with the price. Most 2002-2005 Suburbans/Yukons/Escalades here in the Chicago area are 2-4k at most, even with relative lower mileage. Being from the rust belt kills residual value here. I went to see a 2004 2500...

    Shocks and questions

If your going to do the inner/outter tire rods, hubs, end links, you may as well do your idler arm, idler arm bracket, the dreaded pitmarm arm and new sway bar bushings. I ordered all Moog parts for this. This should take care of about any steering issue you have outside of a worn steering box...

    Rear end noise

I had some chrome flaking off the inside of one of my rims that also made a scraping sound similar to a lightly dragging pad on the rotor. By chance have you inspected the insides of your wheels?

    Axle or Wheel Bearing Issue

If you have the Chrome 17s, check to see if they are peeling on the inside of the rim and rubbing against the brake hardware or brake shield. I had a similar issue and for me, it was the chrome peeling causing the rub when I made slow right turns.

What year did the instant MPG start in the Escalade?

I have a 2003 Esky with the 6.0 and it has the instant MPG readout option
