    Tire size

I think you first need to understand how tire sizes work.. 275/65/20, what currently on your truck, is larger than 275/55/20.

Headlights - both stopped working (left/right, high/low beams)

Well, for basic troubleshooting, I'd pick up a cheap pair of halogen bulbs and swap them in, along with disconnecting the battery to "reboot" the system, to eliminate the LED bulbs themselves as the culprit.

    Moonroof not closing completely

Sounds like you have a faulty limit switch. The open/close button has two detents in each direction. When you only press to the first detent, the glass will be moving until you release the switch. But if you hold it long enough, the glass should fully open/close and then stop. It would take...

    After Market Headlights

FYI - I tacked it onto my original thread quoted above, but here's a place selling the Alpharex for $877. That's substantially less than I paid. https://emnotek.com/products/alpharex-07-13-chevy-avalanche-nova-led-proj-headlights-plank-style-matte-black-w-activ-light-drl

2007 Yukon, Engine shaking, service stabilitrak + traction control, flashing engine light.

Again, multiple seemingly unrelated warning lights are most commonly a sign of low voltage. Check for loose battery cables Check grounds Have alternator and battery tested at an auto parts store.

Is a Black Bear Tune worth it with a completely stock engine?

If you don't already have an AR, get an AR. You can get a basic AR from PSA for well under $500. And then buy some ammo and take a class or two. I've had a Blackbear tune on my Suburban for over 10 years. I believe it's also extended the life of my transmission because I had them tune out a...

Should I put a grille guard on my Tahoe? is it worth it?

They absolutely will NOT make your Tahoe "safer." If anything, if you're unfortunate enough to be in a frontal crash, it'll cause more damage. There's a reason a lot of insurance adjusters call them damage multipliers. On the other hand, I used mine a few weeks ago to get my Fusion unstuck...

My hefty lighting investment - worth it - Alpharex and Diode Dynamics

Bumping this... Found a deal online for the Alpharex - $877. I know nothing about the vendor. Seems to be a company out of Georgia. https://emnotek.com/products/alpharex-07-13-chevy-avalanche-nova-led-proj-headlights-plank-style-matte-black-w-activ-light-drl

    Towing stability

13% is actually ideal. More tongue weight is more stable. Here's the money shot that melts brains, especially on the RV fora....8600-lb trailer, 1120 tongue weight, no WD, no sway control, no white knuckles, 20,000 miles towed including Rocky Mountain elevations to 11,000 feet:

    Towing stability

Wheelbase of the tow vehicle has a surprisingly-large effect on sway and stability. Personally, I've always had doubts about a short-wheelbase Tahoe or Yukon pulling an 8,000-lb behemoth safely. What kind of hitch/weight distribution system are you running? You seem to be mixing your...

    Tail Lights

OK, you're not being clear here.... What does this mean, the part I highlighted in yellow? You say it looks like your lights aren't on from the back, but then they turn off when you press the brake? They can only turn off if they're on at some point. So which is it? Do the tail lights go on...

    Tail Lights

Check your bulbs. They're two-filament bulbs, one for marker light, second for brake/turn signal. The marker filament might be out in both bulbs.

    ‘10 Yukon XL 2500 advice

Seeing the sunroof, the auto climate control, nav, and the buttons underneath the climate control, I'd say it's pretty heavily optioned out. Mine has just about every available option - and everything still works as it should. The biggest issue is the rear defrost tabs breaking off the...

2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab AWD- QUESTION

I bought my 09 Sierra Denali back in 2015 with 70k miles for $24k. It's been good, but a bit of a money pit - front axle halfshafts, front bearings/hubs, front suspension, new (unique to the Denali) front diff. It's a hoot to drive, but a 26-gallon tank, needing premium fuel, and ****** gas...

    Axle

I broke my 2001 rear axle multiple times towing 7500-8000 lbs on cross-country trips. That was the primary reason I bought the 2008 2500 - it has the 14-bolt 10.5" freefloater I call the Godzilla axle.

Want to take my 2010 Yukon XL Denali with 180,000 miles for a family trip from Michigan To Florida - Can you help me make this a success!

I'm in Warren and Ferndale almost every week, so I could easily drop in just about any time. I've probably driven past it a bunch of times. Hit me up via PM if you want to discuss further.

Want to take my 2010 Yukon XL Denali with 180,000 miles for a family trip from Michigan To Florida - Can you help me make this a success!

If you don't mind, I'm in west metro Detroit. What transmission shops are you talking to? My two trucks are getting up there in mileage, both with their original transmissions, so I'd like to have a few shops in my back pocket for when (if?) the time comes. Thanks.

    Transmission getting Hot

The 6L80/90 were designed for operating temperatures of 190-200°F. 200°F is not necessarily "overheating." The "trans hot idle engine" warning comes on a little over 260°F. I forget if it's 262° or 265°. 100° over ambient is typical if everything is functioning properly, so you can expect to...

07 Silverado hard start after fueling

Yeah, not filling is a venting/canister issue. But the hard start only and after a fillup is absolutely the purge valve/solenoid.

07 Silverado hard start after fueling

100% it's the purge solenoid. Not sure where it is on the 5.3, but on my 6.0 it's right behind the alternator. $30 part, watch a YouTube video or two and it's a 15-minute job. Biggest headache is the stupid latches on the tubing.

    OPEN RECALL

Just to clarify - airbags are NOT going off randomly or not at all. And it has nothing to do with wiring/terminals. The issue is that IF the airbag deploys (crash, rollover, etc) it can explode and POSSIBLY send shrapnel towards the passengers. Yes, people have died. But again, airbags are...
