another issue should be the gas mileage. Chevys are the leader....Jeep /Dodge are the worst ones. I ve owned Ford Explorer six cyl. Jeep Cherokee six Cyl Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 ...and 3 Tahoes. every Tahoe out performed all of those. in every way... Best buy if you are in the market...
in the late 90th i owned a 300SL Mercedes. With a six cylinder engine. The engine made a lot of noise ( lifters ) at start up in the morning. I asked a Mercedes engineer here in the town where I live- if he could give me a good advise. He gave me a very good one. He told me to switch from 10-40...
first of all I would stop at the next autoparts store... enter - and leave with a filter /gasket kit.. 5 to 7 litres of Dexron III
with all the stuff hunting back home.
There I would grab my tools and basin drain the oil / remove the pan...change the filter clean the pan an watch for some...
moog tie rods causes steering issues.... I changed my tie rods...last week. now the "feeling " is very different from the one before. Before ( OEM from the factory ) the feeling was a lot more precise. for sure.
The tie rods from moog should be good - but also very very tight. Let see how they...
AIR in the ABS block ?
oh...I just read your thread - you still used a OBD Tool do beed the ABS block.. so i would go through the MC. Even if it is a AC Delco . I just ordered one from RA...AC Delco OEM
MADE IN CHINA :( hope that "he " will work.
..... started to use the Stainless Steel lines... from Dorman. The rubber hoses are from Ac Delco ( OEM Equipment -sadly made in China ) but better than my 17 years old rubber hoses. Because they started to show up cracks..
Next week I will change the front lines... and the one that goes...
Are you 100% sure, that the "shop " did a good job ? sounds like you still have air in your system. I bought a handhold tester, who can do the ABS Block bleeding. I don´t trust any shop at all... was foolished more than once.
as far as I know, there is a little o-ring at the end of the tube that ends in the sump. if this o-ring is rotten...you will loose some of your oil pressure . The strange thing is, that the pressure loss occurs 400-500 miles after you changed your oil. this speaks for bigger clearances between...
Thank you for your advise
I have the AGS nicop brake line set /kit here... but our "TUV " DMV.. doesn´t like this nicop They say that this material could perhaps break..fail..or what ever. Also the same for stainless steel ( like the kit from Dorman ) I have this kit too...:(
So...I thought...
Help me please....I am lost !
I need to replace my brake lines..( 2002 Tahoe with Hydraboost 4 disk. WITHOUT JL4 ! )
So I checked the TBS about those brake line kits ... and found KIT Number. 22933216 this kit is for Ck 15706
Year 2002 ...with JH5. so far so good but it also says Option JL4 (...
German TUV sucks...those guys are crazy... they want to "save the world "..LOL.
About Stainless steal... if I use them - would it be harder to get the brake lines sealed ?
NIckel Copper.... as I wrote, here in Germany the TUV ( Vehicle inspection ) is against those Copper ../NiCOPP lines... because of the ABS System. therefor I am thinking to go with the stainless steel lines... - even if they are so rustproof
I need to renew the brake lines too.... I have 2 sets laying here... the NiCopp. and the stainless steel from Dorman...
My question is... are the Nicopp lines SAFE for the use with ABS ? Here in Germany the TUV does not permit those lines because of the pulseing pressure while the ABS is...
the problem is the abs block..... try the following. raise the rear of the car bleed the four calipers.
...then turn on the ignition... turn one wheel, while a fried bleeds the right rear wheel caliper.
the trick is that the abs block traps air. and while you are turning the wheel, the abs...

THIS is what you Need !
Bought two of those modules... one for me and one for a friend of mine... Perfect stuff
....Keep your hands off such a car.. I would never buy a car without any bill of maintenance. Also the City driving is a no go. Look for a car with CLEAR history... not the fairy tail of the US car collector...
