Yes I have had the TSB PT 2459 completed and it made no difference. After about $3,000.00 I finally found a solution to the rough ride on my 2015 Tahoe LTZ. Contact http://www.xineering.com/shocksims.html. They've developed simulators that allow you to replace the shocks with quality...
The applique has been discontinued by GM but you can find them NEW on ebay or Amazon. I have searched Google for directions on how to replace these parts but haven't found anything. It appears to be pretty simple but I have questions. Does the door panel have to be removed? Does the chrome...
Xineering.com offers a kit that includes shock and ride height simulators that will make the computer think the Mag Ride parts are still installed. The kit for front and rear is $425.00 and includes four ride height simulators and four shock simulators. Replace with quality shocks and enjoy...
I have found the enemy and it is GM. The Mag Ride suspension was a pain in the arse from the beginning. I've finally found a work around after much researech. A company Xineering.com has come up with shock and ride height simulators that will prevent any alerts in the DIC. I installed these...
The rough ride issue has been resolved. Arnott does make a bypass kit that allows you to replace the Mag Ride shocks with standard shocks. However, Arnott does not offer this kit for vehicles later than 2014. After much research I found a company that offers shock and ride height simulators...
How can I confirm the PIT 5429 TSB was performed? I have a 2015 Tahoe LTZ that rides like a covered wagon. This repair was done but it had no effect on my Tahoe. I'm beginning to think the dealer might have made a mistake. Also seems like a lot of work for 3.5hr labor.
The truck has and never will be off road. Your idea concerning the 17" tires makes sense. You and 007matman have really given me some great suggestions to address the problem. When I make a comment about thew horrible ride most people asked what did I suspect after all it's a truck. Thanks...
Best suggestion I've heard. I thought that if there was a way to replace the Mag Ride shocks it might be the answer. I couldn't figure out the engine light issue but you may have solved that problem. Buy a six pack and send me the bill.
How could I bypass Mag Control? Wouldn't a check engine light come on if the mag ride was disabled? No problem replacing mag ride shocks with after market.
I believe replacing the struts would cause a check engine light to come on. I would do this in a minute but doesn't my Tahoe have shocks on four corners. Of course I probably have no idea what I'm talking about but it does seem logical that the check engine light would come on because I...
I appreciate your reply but I'd like to think that I'm as intelligent as the next guy. I'm not an easy mark for swamp land in Florida. All of the "basics" have been covered. The problem I have with this vehicle requires me to consider reasonable advice from the dealer. This is a $75,000...
First I want to thank all for your replies. The PT 5429 directs the dealer to replace shocks, springs and re calibrate but this had zero effect. I have a personal friend who's the parts and service director at my dealership. He has confirmed the condition and describes it as rides like...
Something you might want to research before making changes to the suspension. I have a 2015 Tahoe LTZ that rides like a covered wagon. Google Tahoe rough ride and you will see many owners of this vehicle have complaints concerning the rough ride. Chevrolet issued a TSB (PT5429) to address the...
Has anyone done any research on the rough ride issue that exist regarding 2015-16 Tahoe/Suburban LTZ rough ride situation? There's a GM TSB (PT 5429) that addresses this condition but it had no effect on my 2015 Tahoe with the Mag Ride Suspension. Rides like a covered wagon.
