    Brake pedal fluttering

On my 2002 Tahoe I get this fluttering/pulsing feeling from my brake pedal. It doesn't do it all the time and some times it is worse than other times. Brakes seem to be working fine. Could this be the anti lock brake sensors going bad? Thanks for any suggestions.

Rear blower on 2002 Tahoe works sometimes.....the possible problem?

My rear blower on my 2002 Tahoe works about 25% of the time. The cold weather is now starting so I'm hoping I can figure it out. It has the manual overhead controls. I have heard there may be a wire in the drivers side kick panel area that may be burned that causes this alot? Any other ideas...

Oil pressure gauge sitting at about 40-42 psi

My oil pressure gauge on my '02 Tahoe 5.3 just sits at about 40-42 psi at idle and even at 70mph. It moves so ever slightly but remains in that general area. Usually it is at about 45psi at idle and about 70-80 at 70mph. It returns to zero when engine is off and key is on. It will go up to 60psi...

    Looking for a smoother ride....shocks

I have Gabriel MaxControl shocks on the front and rear of my 2002 Tahoe 2wd. The ride is pretty rough even over smaller bumps. It has been described by passengers as like riding in a covered wagon...lol. The tires are on 17" factory steel wheels and they are C load rated. What is a good shock to...

    Bazooka Tube placement

Got a 10 inch 250 watt Bazooka Tube. Anybody else use one? Wondering on the best placement for the best sound? Used to have my 6 inch tube under the back seat which sounded great but this 10 inch doesn't fit under the seat. Know it will be in the back but not sure of the best direction to face...

    Frontend wobble under 60mph.....End Links?

I get a wobble in the frontend when going under 60mph. Doesn't happen all the time. When I apply brakes or turn steering wheel it usually stops. The shimmy isn't a death wobble but it has gotten worse in the last few months. Wheels have been rebalanced. Tires in very good shape. Ball joints were...

In my 2000 Tahoe what is the procedure for repairing the Gear Selector/Odometer light that is not working now? I heard it may be a simple soldering of a connection?

Procedure for changing out gauge cluster lights?

I have a 2002 Tahoe. Wanting to change dash lights to red. I have the red LED bulbs. I heard it is pretty easy from '99-'02. What steps are to be taken to do this? Couldn't find the steps on the forum. Think there is a Scottyboy that knows all about this?

    Slight Overheating at 230 degrees

Ok....I am stumped Waterpump - changed Radiator - flushed Thermostat - changed (3 times) System has been burped of air My 2002 Tahoe with 5.3 overheats. It does not do it until driving about 10 miles one way. It isn't guaranteed it will overheat however. About 80% the time it will. When it...

Location of factory amp and disable

In my 2002 Tahoe I have a Sony MEXXB100BT stereo that has an amp built in. It sounds great but I feel like the amp isn't fully doing its job. I can easily turn it up to level 50 without distortion and it still isn't fully loud. It worked as it should in a '78 Malibu punching a ton of power to 4...

Engine temp running 135......under 210 with heater on?

Changed out my thermostat because it was bad. Engine temp was over 235. Now engine runs at normal temps (just under 210) only if the heater is on. If I turn heater off, the temp goes to about 230-235. I have tried bleeding the air out several times. Parking on incline with cap off reservoir for...

    Top hose hot...bottom hose cold

Just changed thermostat. Top hose is hot....heater hoses are hot...but bottom hose to radiator is cold. Does this indicate air pocket or water pump? Thermostat changed....fluctuating temp....air?

I changed out the thermostat in my 2002 Tahoe due to my 5.3 running hot. Thermostat fell apart right when I removed the housing so I'm hoping that was the issue. Ran great at just below 210 for over 25 miles, now temp goes up to about 235 then goes back down to about 210. I am assuming air is in...

'99 4x4 Tahoe loud squeak/clunk front passenger side

Loud deep squeak coming from the front passenger side area. It only happens when vehicle is on the ground and rolling. Have taken wheel off and removed the brake caliper. It is not the hub. It is not a ball joint or any of the links. Rotor spins freely and smoothly and both sides were changed...

'99 4x4 Tahoe loud squeak front passenger side

I have a very loud squeak/creeking noise from right front passenger side wheel area when rolling. Only does it if tire is on the ground. Hub is fine....no play in it. Doesn't go away when brakes are applied. Can't pinpoint exact area of noise....certainly right behind the wheel though.

Loose frontend when going over 55mph over bumps

I have changed my shocks and jacked up my 2wd '02 Tahoe while maintaining pressure on the frontend. Nothing seems loose but I can feel it through my steering wheel. When going over a bump in the road on the highway the front end gets very shaky. It is getting dangerous in my opinion. Could this...

On my 2002 2wd Tahoe I have a problem when hitting bumps on the road. It feels like the front is loose. All suspension parts are in fine condition. Steering is nice and tight. 2002 Tahoe ride is very rough, best replacement shocks

I have a 2wd 2002 Tahoe and I am wondering what is the best replacement shocks to put on without going to extreme price wise. The ride is so firm that travelling on the highway at 60mph and hitting bumps on curves is horrible. Ball joints, tie rods, etc are all in great shape. thanks
