Wishful thinking. Not that I’m disagreeing with your hopefulness, if your trans doesn’t break down, your TCase or Torque Converter will.
If you’ve read any of the stuff @NickTransmissions and other mechanics on here have explained, the only problem with going stock GM for everything is the fact...
You would think it only did have one with the size coolers that GM put in these big SUV’s. At least the one in my 2020 is bigger than my 2011 and 2002.
Your ‘19 burb has the 6L80? Was it 2020 that they changed? Or is that just the difference in the Denali and the 6.2l?
Michigan requires no inspection (otherwise 60% of the vehicles would probably fail due to the rust belt winters and pothole filled back roads) and my plate/reg has no expiration (100% service connected disabled vet). Otherwise it’s every two (?) years? It used to be annual, but they got lenient...
That one can be tricky. If you’re lucky it may still have some purchase once the manifold is removed. If not, a welder is needed. Luckily your block is aluminium.
If I had to make a gamble, I’d say your manifold isn’t far from cracking in the center. They all do it. In fact it’s such a problem...
I wish that were the case. We called AAA when a tire blew out on our horse trailer. Despite being on a main 4-lane highway they told us 1-2hours. I was able to get it changed out even with a horse onboard before they called us back with an update (telling us it would be closer the two hour...
Anyone with new battery suggestions? Im going to replace the original on my father in-laws 2020 Denali (everything is OEM), but I wasnt sure who to go with this time. Delco from the stealership is prob going to cost a fortune compared to even the local AP store “gold”. But ive also heard that...
I could be completely wrong, but you might be better off using an actual injection cleaner to do that job, as opposed to using E85. That’s not to say E85 won’t do the job, I’ve just never used it since I have the 6.2.
I’ve always had good luck with Lucas and the ACDelco top end cleaner as well...
I think this is from @swathdiver if I’m not mistaken. He and I geek out on excel spreadsheets often shared on here and some of the other similar sites.
Not having a flex-fuel vehicle, did you have to change your fuel trim info via tech2? While this table is obviously subjective due to the...
Do you have AWD or RWD? Which lifting method did you use? Also did you pull the wheel well splash guards and starter motor? Not that it still isn’t a pain in the @$$ to replace (esp that passenger side), but each method has its perks and the different drive styles play a role as well.
Edit: I...
If you disconnect the battery, technically no. However if things got messed up due to someone’s negligence; similar to the rookie mistake of broken clock springs (by not properly securing the steering wheel), then yes, a calibration may be required via Tech2 or similar scanner.
Awww $h*t, what now? Hooking up those trailer wires you cut and that rear [bumper] grounding wire didn’t fix your problem?
Did you ever end up installing a new suspension control module?
If your body is that rotted, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s bad. I’ve seen them “communicate” with a...
No. This won’t cause all of your other issues. You NEED to perform the relearn procedure before doing anything. It’s a two part procedure. After that, scan again for codes.
Additionally, after having driven for a couple days then scan again for codes if things have not evened out properly.
A reminder to players, please phrase your answers in the form of a question.
This one goes to you Lex for five-hundred:
“All stock 6L80’s should have had this Sonnax kit installed for free by General Motors after turning over 50k on the odometer”
With a 6.2 in the Denali all I’ve ever run in her is premium. So I can’t begin to talk on the E85 topic. I run non-ethanol in my lawn equipment or a premium mix if I can’t find non-eth, but that’s about as far as my experience goes with the different grades of fuel.
My man…I’m not trying to take sides here, so don’t read into this reply in that way. I’m coming at it from an outsider. Everyone here is. None of us are in your shoes and vice versa. You asking @NickTransmissions for advice is exactly what this site and sites like it are for - to share the...
I like the felt idea. Hopefully I can find some to match the tan color on the 2020 Denali. The countersunk d-rings are what I planned on using. I installed some of them in my work trailer, so I have a few left over.
Our plan is to tow the Denali behind the motorhome and put a cricket golf cart...
Have you checked the GMpartsdirect.com website? You can enter your vehicle info and search for all of the p/n’s you're looking for, they are even broken down by interior color as well.
