So we have a 07 2500HD here with a 6.0 - should be an L69 far as I can tell. Weak oil pressure...knocked a bit. SO lets say it needs a full rebuild. New bearings, clean the heads up and rebuild them with some good springs a healthy street worth cam and then trying to throw it in my 2003 4wd...
Mayhave cheap access to a 07 sierra DH with a L69 6.0 that needs rebuilt and a 4l80e/85e that works but has 200k miles on it....I really need to do some homework and see about a mild rebuild and refresh of the trans and what it will take to swap that in my Tahoe.
Thanks for the info guys...but I may have had something fall into my lap that may throw this into an entirely different realm. I may have cheap access to a 07 2500HD Sierra that needs a rebuild on the L69 6.0 and it has the 4l80e/85e trans.....I have some homework to do.
May consider doing short tube headers and mid pipe WITH cat's if I swap the came in my Tahoe....let me know what you guys have and haven't had luck with. Truck would be all around use in all temps - hot summers and cold winter's. Not really wanting to go long tube unless the prices will be...
Just wondering if anyone has a part number for the factory dual battery set up isolator that came in the 2500/3500 pick up's.
Need to finish getting my electrical set-up for more wattage. TIA
Quick question....do you have like an air connection in/under the bumper somewhere or did you install a compressor to air it up whenever you want if needed?
Question about your bags...do you leave them inflated all the time? Do you have a compressor on them of just an air line you air up when you need to?
Sorry if you already said it...just considering adding helper bags on mine.
I'll keep it short, did a search but didn't see anything exactly like what im wondering...
Lets say i built a 6.0 SHORT BLOCK - nothing crazy but could I take that short block...bolt EVERYTHING from my 5.3 on it...
heads
intake, throttle body and all other parts attached to it
front accessories...
I'm tired of my multiple set of aftermarket fog lights either not mounting properly or when they are in just being all shaky. Ordered a set from the dealer and the lens wasn't even sealed all the way brand new in the box. So considering swapping them out totally for a dedicated LED lamp...just...
Sooooo not to beat a dead old horse but i've seen vids and pics where guys are cutting off the proper area then mounting the low profile bump stop to the area just cut away but it would be better to mount it on the pad on the axle correct?
Thanks for the info guys... my buddy also has a bare 6.0 block with the main caps in strongly considering as well!

Well I figured the OEM part might be a lil expensive but after put it all back together and minted it back up... the panel is lighting up like it should lol. I also added some sound deadening to it while I had it out. But I'll check for those screws under the lamp lens for those screws. Thanks...
OK so does anyone have a Dorman part number for the rear a/c control that sits above the rear view mirror... cannot seem to find it even though I'm pretty sure they make it... second... the done light in the center of the headliner... is it held in with screws? The front part i could pull down...

That's the story im...

So I found out what it was.... when you pop the hood at the back of the engine compartment is a plastic piece with a rubber weatherstrip on it. Well the edges of the plastic piece were loose and the rubber strip just slides side on it with like 4in of play. I threw some 200mph tape on it test it...
