Just did mine, only used a heat gun, old credit card, and goo gone. Came out well but took longer than I thought. Definitely makes an improvement and shows attention to detail.
I converted the fronts to Arnott's performance option, and just replaced the rear auto-leveling shocks and compressor with parts from eBay and was very surprised how well everything works. I've heard horror stories about repairing autoride but I'm very happy with my new setup which was a total...
Hey thanks. Yea the autoride is definitely a huge benefit, even if only in the rear like mine. I think I'm going to pair the 2/4 drop with new sway bars and end links to avoid any swaying on the highway like I've heard can happen. What's the story with yours?
Yea I'm also looking to do that same thing. My Tahoe has autoride and I like it but my 22's make it sit way too tall. Tony said a belltech kit w/ spindles, springs, and rear shock extenders is the best way.
Hey thanks, I'm probably going with the belltech 2/4 drop which uses the extenders, springs & spindles. Is that what you did? That appears to keep the best ride and keep autoride.
Hey thanks for the insight. I hope I didn't sound against a retrofit, I actually bought these as donors but was impressed when I first installed them. I'm putting together a parts list for my ret. project right now. I'm looking at the morimoto mini h1's, but I'm not sure if I need units with a...
Good to know. So the halos use ballasts? Hey what do you use for high beam bulbs? I'd like to get some better output but not sure what's best. I don't want HIDs bc if the warmup, maybe LEDs?
Hey thanks for the responses. Yukonxl04, are you positive it's not glass? It's not indicated anywhere that it's glass but I'm pretty sure it is. The added weight and spikes have me convinced. Regardless it's a very impressive shell. And as for my retrofit comment, I hope it didn't sound like I'm...
Hello everybody, I see that many people talk about the depot projectors but there's not actually a thread for them specifically. I did a ton of research and chose them, finally they arrived and after installation I'd like to give my opinions.
First!- They're fukcing beautiful. Seriously. The...
Thanks for the helpful thread. Going to have to try this soon, ever since doing some work that required disconnecting the battery by auto climate control has gone haywire. It's an 02' so I hope it's the same process....
