A/C rebuild
Yep, u will need to replace the evap. While you are there might as well do the heater core too. Its at least a days job. Took me about a week working at it 2-3 hours every other day. It worth it. Don't forget the rear stuff too. Did mine two years ago and works like new.- Fourpillars

REALLY weird issue
If your brake lights don't work and the cruise doesn't work its is the brake light switch.. The switch is not expensive. If you have brake pedals that move (adjustable)... its a major job and will require quite a bit of effort to get to the switch. If your brake pedals are not movable easy...- Fourpillars
