    Front Bumper Sensor Replacement Painting

Someone recently reversed into our Yukon and caused some damage to a sensor. I took it to our local dealership who assessed the inner left sensor needs replacing. I got a quotation for $530 dollars ($290 for the sensor including painting, remainder for “labor” required to replace it). Needless...

    Diesel Crate Engine?

I want to say it has something to do with emission regulations with diesels. I don’t know how NOx, SOx, etc emissions are regulated. Don’t they need special equipment to reduce them? Again, not sure.

Interested in 2019 Yukon and have Question

We own a 16 SLT with 20” wheels since new. 35k city miles, I live in a tiny island. Ride was ok with stock Goodyear GTIIs, pretty good with 285/50R20 Michelin Defender LTXs for the last year and some change. I think tire compound will make a bigger difference with whatever you go with.

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

Pictures don’t do most cars justice so I’ll hold my judgment til I see one on the road. I really don’t like the push button shifter. Its no better or worse vs the knob shifter setup imo. I also wished they somehow kept the nifty compartment behind the screen, but I don’t think with that...

The Unexplainable, Unresolved issue an expert LS builder and Dealership can't figure out

I bypassed my 04 Yukon’s heater core a couple months back because ethylene glycol (antifreeze) in vapor form was leaking into the cabin. It had a sweet smell to it. I bypassed the heater core and the smell went away instantly. I’m not saying you have a faulty heater core or anything, but I do...

    A/C Condenser replacement

Don’t mean to bump an old thread, but I recently found out about this. I read that 2017+ GM models switched from R134a to R1234yf, so maybe that had an effect? Not sure what year your Tahoe is. They appear to have similar properties, but further research shows the AC setup is somewhat...

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

Looks like they’ve done away with the nifty compartment behind the screen. Might’ve been gimmicky to some, but I really liked it.

Thoughts on buying 2019 Tahoe this December? Before 2020's come out?

I don’t think there’s a discernible difference upgrading from a 17 to 19, especially at the same trim level. I can only see upgrading to a 6.2 or LWB making sense. Also, as people said, next gen should release ~2020 which would undoubtedly be a massive upgrade in comparison and would be worth...

Fueling Issues - What I’ve Done

5 month update - I’ve been filling up regularly, using it on a daily basis with no fueling hiccups. There’s always something though, my blend door actuators are on their way out, second gear is slipping, my heater core started leaking and need to replace my engine mounts (I think, strong...

    Z71 Bumper PN?

I dont own a Tahoe so dont take my word for it. PN 35301243 doesn’t show up here for the offroad package or non-z71 bumper. I’m not sure if its a direct fit (w/o modification) for a non-z71, but a google search came up with multiple parts required for a z71 bumper. That means it isn’t all just...

    LED DRL Mod

Yes, I know it doesn’t. Only Yukons have the same LED DRLs across the board. Tahoe/Suburban LED DRLs have been discussed before: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/led-daytime-running-lights.61550/ Its a BCM hackjob from what I’ve read but the 18+ Tahoe/Suburban DRLs operate the same way...

Fueling Issues - What I’ve Done

This issue started 6 months after my family purchased a 16 Yukon new, but didnt realize it until recently since it is a hand me down from my dad. Its a 2004 5.3 GMC Yukon SLT with 120k miles. Anyways, I popped in a cheap ECU reader and it gave me a P0449 code for the evap system. This was a...

Fueling Issues - What I’ve Done

I’ve lurked in this forum a couple of times and it has been extremely helpful. I ended up fixing the issue on my 5.3 LM7 (non-flexfuel or “T” on the vin) Yukon with the following ACDelco parts: Vent Valve Solenoid #214-2149 Purge Valve #214-1105 Charcoal Canister #215-464 Read the next post...

Has Anyone Cross-Shoped The Land Cruiser

Isn’t the Denali the most popular trim anyways? I think its great bang for your buck compared to anything else on the market, especially since the price delta versus an SLT is worth it for the engine alone.

Has Anyone Cross-Shoped The Land Cruiser

tl;dr My comment was purely subjective since we only owned a 16 Yukon from current gen. Could get the final MY of this gen when next gen is announced/on the lot to get an even heftier discount if the powertrain, tech, etc. arent worth the price delta. Thats how I’d go for it if I was looking for...

Has Anyone Cross-Shoped The Land Cruiser

LX570, the interior between an LC and LX is a night and day difference bear in mind. Same powertrain overall. Though going into LX (or even LC) territory you’re better off getting the new Navigator for ultra luxury for less. I wouldn’t recommend buying any gm full size at this point unless its...

Has Anyone Cross-Shoped The Land Cruiser

tl;dr LT Tahoe isn’t in the price range of the LC, a Escalade, Denali or RST is. If you go into rough terrain a lot, get the LC hands down. If you want a pavement queen that can deal with occasional snow/slippery terrain, get a 4wd gm full size. They’re both reliable powertrains, but Toyota’s...

    Tire Sizes

What tire sizes have you guys gone for? I’m currently on P285/50R20 Goodyear Eagle GTII All seasons (From dealer new) and need to change them because they’re starting to rot. Would you buy your Yukon or Tahoe again?

We bought a 2016 SLT Yukon and when this topic was first posted, I didn’t really want to jump the gun and say that the car’s amazing. We mainly bought a Yukon because we had a great experience with a 2004 SLT Yukon with the 5.3 even though the GMT800 platform is considered the golden...
