I have major rubbing issues with the 305 with only a spindle drop.
I cut and modified my side steps (power folding) fixed most of it.
I plan to heat up the plastic in the front to move it out of the way.
The passenger side front rubs badly on the rear side of the well. I plan to BFH that.
No plans, for whatever reason they look bright as shit in the pictures but aren't that bright in real life.
I have a few other project cars that need some attention before the truck does.
Haven't updated this in a long time,
Finished blacking out the chrome bits.
Friend repainted the mirrors for me and I wrapped the rest of the items.
Tony Hooked me up with 24'' TBSS Reps in Gray, and I installed 305 Nitto's.
Tony then hooked me up with a 2/4 drop with all the fixin's.
A...
Interesting topic we have here, I literally just executed your idea a couple months ago on a project suburban.
I purchased a 2008 Suburban LTZ from my Uncle's Beer Distribution company. It was a company vehicle purchased new for the CEO back in 08. The truck has the LC9 5.3 and was creeping up...
I'm down here in Monroe.
Oddly enough I'm not in love with the 2v modular.
It's a 2001 Bullitt with a complete 03/04 Cobra 4v terminator swap. 4v T56 and IRS.
I recently sold the Whipple set up and now pursuing a twin 62/62 turbo set up with a now stroked 5.0 4v mod motor.
New...
My main squeeze are Mustangs. Specifically 99-04 Cars.
I have parted out 4 03/04 Mach 1 Mustangs in the last year or two. The profits and parts help my ongoing build of my 2001 Bullitt Mustang.
Anyway, I drove 2 hours to the salvage auction yesterday to pick up my latest parts car.
First...
Thanks dudes.
I still haven't wrapped the other chrome trim lol. Not really motivated.
I must not have enough posts because I can't post some items for sale :(
I do have some red OEM GM LED tails if interested.
I installed some LED reverse lights to compliment the license plate lights and mirror puddle lights I already installed. Unlocking the truck at night, everything lights up and the regular reverse lights were bothering me lol.
My buddy had some matte black vinyl left over from wrapping his...
Thanks!
I messed up and didn't replace the upper strut mounts and completely regret that decision.
The old struts were 100% seized and beat the mounts pretty hard, ordering those today. Going to have to take this all apart again lol.
I don't know what I was thinking not replacing those...
Got home from work this morning, my other two door handles I purchased off of ebay showed up along with my new front struts.
Swapped the handles real quick and was super pleased with the result.
I went over to my dads house (next door lol) and used the lift to make quick work of front...
Ordered my AC Delco (BWI) OEM Front magnetic ride struts!
If anyone has been putting off the strut replacement on their Z95 Magnetic ride truck now would be the time to do so!
Amazon just dropped the price from $250 (already a good deal) to $195 for the fronts...
Miles don't really mean much.
If the majority of those miles were at 70mph in overdrive going down a highway you are better off than the dude with 90k in the city. If you can speak to the 2nd owner that would help.
Be aware of the shocks are struts, pretty expensive if they need to be...
Pulled it outside for a quick picture!
I fixed the fog lights too! they haven't worked for years. A little digging resulted in my finding the fog relay to be missing. kind of random but I am happy it was a $5 fix!
Friend gave me his Front door handles off of his 2013 Sierra for $20, now...
I wrapped up the buffing last night.
I removed the door handles real quick to get up close and tight. I also had to remove the mountain of caked on white wax from the previous dill weed "detail" shop.
Finished!
Very pleased with the results, I still need to seal the rear bumper but I...
I drove down to Indiana to a salvage yard that had 1 surplus rear bumper assembly left.
They got it from GM, left over from final assembly.
It was a great deal at the time, $850.00 Rear bumper cover, step pad, chrome strip, sensors, harness, and both exhaust tips and already painted OEM...
Hey thanks!
It's surely coming along finally.
I am headed out to the garage to finish polishing the passenger doors and fender.. last coat of Sonax Polymer Netshield. Then I am hoping to have my front struts ordered this week.
I did find a 12-14 Premium/platinum bumper assembly locally...
As far as buffing techniques, it varied panel to panel.
The passenger side was pretty bad.
My go to combo is Meguiars M105 and M205. It's a pretty user friendly combo, 105 takes out most of the scratches and 205 takes out the scratches 105 put in the paint to get the deeper stuff out.
I...
I think you are correct, I just think it's odd they took the time to install the cheaper older parts from another Escalade. If I were to steal this truck to make my older Escalade look new I sure as hell wouldn't take to the time to swap parts I would just steal the shit and ditch the truck...
The correct tail lamps came today. Hit them with some polish really quick and installed them.
Much better, really updates the rear end of this truck and now matches the third brake light.
The front end harness also showed up. So I removed the bumper cover, swapped the harness out and...
