So my transfer case only comes apart in 2 halves there is no bolt on tail housing it’s just the two main cases. You wouldn’t happen to have a part number on the snap ring would you?
Drakon543 Yeah there is no noise when in 4wd only in 2wd. Like I said once I get out of the parking lot onto a road it’s quiet lol. So sounds like exactly the same thing you had. Which snap ring was it that broke?
I have a 2500 with a 4l80e and when your going slow speeds you can hear a clanking noise like a bad ujoint. Put it on Jack stands and put it in gear sounds like it’s coming from the transfer case but only does it at low speeds. Any ideas?
I have a 98 big block suburban. Truck starts and runs great when it’s cold but after I drive it and let it sit for 20 plus minutes she hesitates to start. Long crank time then when it fires it stumbles a little and smells like raw fuel. After it clears out it will have a slight stumble sitting...
I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Transmission is shot looking for a used one but I was told that I need a 2004 or newer is this true or will a 2000-2006 work? Don’t want to buy something that won’t work. All help would be greatly appreciated
So I have an 04 tahoe and the transmission went on me. I have a spare trans but the neutral saftey switch is different. The one in the truck now has a single long plug and the one I have has the double plug. Will the range selector just swap over from trans to trans?
Yeah the 5100 just seem way to soft bounces side to side when on the highway if you go over a bump or dip in the road. I don't know what else it could be other than shocks
I'm looking at getting rid of the shocks I have on my 04 LT. I have the bilstean 5100 but they have got to be too soft or too old because just driving on the highway it bounces back and forth at every corner. Just like I'm in a boat. I replaced springs sway bar links and pitman arm and idler arm...
To start this all off I have had a check engine light on forever. The scan code came up as a bank 1 #2 o2 sensor reading stuck in low circuit. I replaced the o2 sensor. Then it came back on for catalyst below efficiency and more o2 codes. So I gutted my cats. Now my #2 sensors keep swapping...
Has anyone dealt with detroit axle steering parts. I been reading alot of reviews on them and everyone says their product is pretty good. Just wondering if anyone on this forum has used their pitman or idler arms. The reason why i ask is because i did another shake down and idler arm from...
My 04 has a 5" skyjacker lift. I believe its 5" anyways lol cant remember. Sitting on 305/70/17 goodyear wrangler mtr that are practically new. Tight front end shook it down multiple times. This thing will not stay in one lane, its extremely difficult to keep straight. Constantly feels like...
3" skyjacker lift with maxx cam keys and spring spacers. 5100 bilsteans all the way around. 305/70/17 Goodyear MTR. No rubbing at all. Im measuring 42" in front and 41 3/4" rear.
Im saying i would love to get rid of the t-bar setup and do coilovers. However i replaced my jounce stops with the z71 replacements and spaced out the contact point on my lca so they are touching. The ride is night and day its amazing what those two stops can do. Still have a little wander but...
