    Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I did do the lines and the bracket on the block was a pita. I got it off by taking my front drive shaft off at the U joint and used a long extension with a universal and i think it was a 13mm socket.

    I dint use any but its not hard to drop it again. What would you recommend? I also want to do it to the frame seeing its not as bad as I thought.

    This is what you get living in upstate NY but on the other hand I've owned this truck for 12 years and this is the first time I've pulled the tank. Ill get after it sometime today.

    The tabs that hold the lock ring are all crusty. I'll know more later and I'll post a pick before I do my parts run.

    Looks the same to me. I now have to get new straps cause one broke and I need a new lock ring hopefully not a new tank also. Hope I can save it.

    Ok thanks there's a couple places that have them in stock along with the straps. Its pretty crusty under there not unusual for being in upstate NY.

    I've been searching with no luck. I'm looking to see if anybody has had to change the fuel tank strap bolts. If you have what part number did you use? I found Dorman 55157 but every site says not for my 02 tahoe.

    02 tahoe Lt. It's the cable that comes off the right rear and travels over to the left side. The replace ment cables are from ac delco and have metal sleeves that I would believe is for a mount somewhere like a hook or retaining clip.

    I replaced my e brake cables and its pretty rusty under there. My right side cable is hanging down and I'm assuming there was a clip or hanger that used to hold it in place near the left rear wheel. So as i was in traffic today it dawned on me I didnt notice it blinking when I reset it so I did it again when I got home and I could see it blinking but had to put a shadow over it...
