I don't have any experience with them, but had good luck with dealer extended warranty under similar driving conditions.

    Ignition stay on

Safestop. Takes 10 min to install. I have it on my 07 Yukon. http://www.fleetsafety.com/vehicle-anti-theft-safestop-system/ Kills the ignition if someone touches the brake...so it can’t be shifted into gear without the keys.

2007 GMC Yukon, Rancho Quiklift, 275/70R18 BFGs

Everyone posts their clean, neat rides on here. Here’s my ride in it’s normal condition. 07 Yukon SLT 4x4, Rancho Quiklift leveling struts, 275/70R18 BFG AT/KO2 tires on Enkei wheels, Setina aluminum pushbar, Hella 1000 driving lamps, in about 6 inches of fresh pow. The tall skinny BFGs are like...

    Anyone running 255/80r17 ?

I run 275/70R18 BFGs on my 2007 Yukon. I was running a RC spacer lift up front, but now use the Rancho Quik-Lift. I had to do trimming on the front mudflaps, and had to do the trimming on the supports for the front of the wheelwell liner (and then pull the liner forward). Everything just...

    Front wheel Hub/Bearing

I've had incredibly good luck with SKF wheel bearing and hub assemblies; I used the SKF BR930661 when I just redid my truck. My mechanic uses them almost exclusively, and has installed them on hundreds of GMs (and other vehicles). They worked great! Also, check pricing on Amazon; I found a...

Replacing Lower Control Arms: Swap Cast Iron for Aluminum?

FWIW, the steel LCA are a direct replacement for the aluminum. The webbing for the lower strut bolts is a bit thinner, but otherwise, it's a direct bolt-in. I was able to get new Moog steel LCA and save about $170 as compared to aluminum ones. It'll take a long time to get back $170 in fuel...

    Zwanzon's 07' Hoe

4-Auto engages the front axle, which both increases wear and decreases fuel mileage (by some imperceptible amount). I agree with the above; I only use 4-A where conditions are intermittently slippery.

Rancho Quik-Lift, Upper and Lower Control Arms, Tie Rod Ends, Hub Replacement

Sorry to hear that. One of the municipalities I work with has a fleet of PD and FD tahoes, and they exclusively use Rancho Quik-Lift replacement strut assemblies; they've found that the level makes the vehicles easier to align and supports longer front tire life. I hope your replacements go...

Rancho Quik-Lift, Upper and Lower Control Arms, Tie Rod Ends, Hub Replacement

Yes. Couldn’t think of the term. Upper Control arms are a throwaway. You can rebuild the lowers. If you PM me an address, I’ll drop my RCspacers in the mail to you. You’d just need bolts, then.

Rancho Quik-Lift, Upper and Lower Control Arms, Tie Rod Ends, Hub Replacement

Posting this here as it fits into lifted and stock suspension, so the mods can sort it out. My 2007 GMC Yukon SLT 4x4 has about 126,000 miles on it and was exhibiting a couple issues. There was one front hub/bearing that was going bad (a bit of grit could be felt in spinning it), one inner...

Replacing Lower Control Arms: Swap Cast Iron for Aluminum?

You can't get aftermarket aluminum LCAs, so it's either rebuild the aluminum, or buy new steel. It's cheaper to buy steel with installed bushings and ball joints than it is to rebuild the aluminum.

Replacing Lower Control Arms: Swap Cast Iron for Aluminum?

I need to replace the lower ball joints on my 07 Yukon, which has aluminum front LCA. The bushings are also a bit worn. It will be cheaper AND easier to just replace the full LCA on both sides. Any issue with replacing the aluminum LCA (stock) with cast iron LCA, if using a good part (Moog?)

    Control Arm Recommendation: 2" lift

I have the RC 2" under-strut (bottom) spacer on my 07 Yukon. Time to replace the upper control arms. Recommendation? Stock? One of the models made for "hard to align" vehicles (like the Moog RK100215)? Other?

HVAC through Defrost Only, Multiple Resets, What's Next?

2007 GMC Yukon SLT. Auto climate control (dual zone) with auxiliary rear climate. Roughly 125k miles. A few weeks ago, I had the 'heat only through defrost' symptom, and only heat, no matter what I set temp or zone to. I did the 'pull fuse' reset trick and it worked./ Yesterday, without...

    07 Yukon Rear Rattle

07 Yukon. In the rear cargo area, passenger side, above the window, I have a really annoying rattle. Occurs when driving at highway speed; sounds like something metal vibrating. Trim and roof liner are both tight; seems to be somewhere internal in the upper wall. Pushing on the area does not...
