    That's what I did. Used blue to tape to get a nice straight line to go off of, then used my Dremel with a cut off wheel on it. Then touched up the edge with a palm sander. Took maybe 10 minutes start to finish. Very happy with the results and saved me a ton of money.

    I finally had time to get the new mirrors installed. Got both sides done in about 45 minutes. No clips broken. Can't believe I waited so long to do this!

    Were you able to get the mirrors in White First Tri Coat?? I just bought a pair of Escalade mirrors that are Crystal White Tri Coat and I'm anxious to see how close they are in color.

    In my opinion, I'd say go for it. Since I've had no rubbing there is no need to cut or trim anything. Fills out the wheel well nicely.

    I've got 285/60/20's on a 2.25"/1" level and have not experienced any rubbing.

    Kayaking/rafting in remote areas where the phone/app wont work. Don't want to risk losing the keys to the river so I leave them with the vehicle. Keypad would be amazing for me so I dont have to hide my key somewhere.

    Fair enough. Unfortunately, I don't have to worry about any of this since I have a 16. Wouldn't all those things you mentioned (water, bugs, wind) cause you trouble having it stuck onto your door as well? I'd rather not see it, but know it's there.. so maybe inside the gas door.
