RSE whining through rear speakers.
I know this is common, and I can make it stop by turning off the RSE but is there any way to repair the unit? I have taken it out and applied dielectric grease to the connector but that did nothing. Oil pump... HV, HP or both?
2009 Suburban K2500 6.0. I'm accumulating parts for a mild cam swap this fall and since my 6.0 has 240k "while I'm in there" it's getting an oil pump. I'm already planning on at least the Melling 295HV but my question is would the 10296 HP/HV pump be any better? I currently have ~25psi hot...- bfourman

Fuel Pump- Delco or Bosch?
09 Suburban 2500 6.0. Data logs for my BBP tune showed reduced fuel pressure above 3k rpm so new fuel pump time. Delco and Bosch are close in price on RockAuto, anyone have experience with either? I'd rather do the job once than gamble on a Airtex or other aftermarket. 11 years and 236k is...- bfourman

Surge at idle and temp gauge drops
Up visiting parents and in-laws (i.e. away from my tools and diag equipment) and the Suburban picked up an annoying issue. In drive or neutral it randomly surges RPM, as high as 2k. A couple times I had to stab the brakes at a light to keep from rear ending the car in front. Every time it does...- bfourman

Electric fans enough for 3/4 ton XL that tows?
Considering converting my 00 Yukon XL to electric fans. Do they move enough air to keep a 6.0L cool with 8k of trailer behind it? I have read that they turn off over a certain MPH, if the engine temp comes up on a long uphill pull, will the e fans kick on and pull enough air to keep it cool...- bfourman
