New plug wires can be bad. You just said new plugs and wires since this began so did it start after you swapped them?

    Motor oil revelations !

How do you have the time to bless us with your knowledge with all that dirty oil needing changed?? :) You are obviously an expert and cannot be taught but that's cool I will just go back to playing with my own toys. I should probably get off this forum and check the ole heap for clogged...

    Motor oil revelations !

No I still don't get your point because I am fairly educated what I'm talking about. If you like your way I say go for it but please don't offer any advice to others on this subject

    Motor oil revelations !

I am confused by some of your statements. Do you choose to drive 10 mph all the time like a snow plow or(haven't read entire thread)? Also when was the last time you have seen modern engine oil destroy an engine due to deposits? There are plenty of people running very extended oil changes with...

    Reman 6l80e fingers crossed

Same probably as before it will surge, idle erratic and die. Unplug the battery, crank it with foot to floor and it will start again. I understand the L92 and am a fairly competent wrench turner just not sure about having vvt which is why I listed the rpo codes n vin, but I will try to track...

    Reman 6l80e fingers crossed

Well problem came back today after our trip but funny enough today was the smoothest this truck has ever ran before it died again. Do the rpo codes or Vin list vvt?

    L92 cam sensor question

Nothing crazy over the last couple year's just normal maintenance. Fluids, wheel bearing/hub, new trans, etc. We are currently about 150 miles into our trip today with no cel or anything goofy going on. I took a look for vvt hardware it's pretty hard to see down there but best I can tell there...

    L92 cam sensor question

One more question...I have a trip that has to happen tomorrow. Funny enough the cel is off and it seems fine but what's the possibility of this thing grenading if it looses timing or something weird with vvt/cam sensor? Also when we did the trans the battery was completely dead and had been for...

    L92 cam sensor question

My 07 Denali started surging, sputtering, died then decided to run fine until it does it again. Anyway vatozone pulled a cam sensor code and they are showing me the internal sensor or what looks like a reluctor type thing with the magnet on it which is what the external sensor reads?? So my...

    Reman 6l80e fingers crossed

So far we have put about 300 miles on the new trans and this truck has never driven smoother or shifted better even with a bad motor mount. I did get a CEL yesterday and the service stabilitrack flashed on and off a couple times. I'm not sure if they didn't plug something in all the way or what...

    Reman 6l80e fingers crossed

Driving an 07 Denali with 105k, no tune or anything special yet it's the wife's grocery getter. I have put about 40 miles so far and it's a definite improvement over stock. Feels much more "efficient" for lack of a better term. Shop I had do the R&R gouged me on a couple items but what can you do.

    Reman 6l80e fingers crossed

So far so good mechanics commented they were impressed and it shifts great. I will try to check in a few months from now with an update but so far I am more than impressed for $2200

    Reman 6l80e fingers crossed

Ordered a trans from a company called Street Smart transmission online. They seemed very legit, price was hard to beat, trans is beefed up some, no upfront core charge, shipping fee and even comes with Dex VI $2190 with 3 year warranty. I haven't used them before but they were very transparent...

Did the L92 have the oil p/u o-ring issue?

I have one I plan on installing was just curious if they are known for the same issue. Figured I could splurge on the $1.35

Did the L92 have the oil p/u o-ring issue?

My 07 Denali just turned 105k and is getting some maintenance done to it including oil pan gasket. Did the 6.2 have the o ring issue like the others? Thanks again Jason

Do oil pan bolts just fall out?

What the hell that was on the first page right under new posts?? No worries guys I will jump in the Deloreon and take it back to 1988 with me

Went from stoked to kinda bummed

My thoughts as well. The cable coming out of the sensor has some strain and I don't like the angle. They cut some strain relief slots into the cable molding itself which isn't doing much imo.

    Gruven heater core T-connectors

How was the quality of everything else else like the hoses, clamps, plastic connection?

Do oil pan bolts just fall out?

Only thing I can think of is someone was in the pan before you bought it and some didn't get snugged or were forgotten about. The pan gasket will sometimes have a hold of the bolts as well I doubt they fell out
