New MAF sensor showed up yesterday. A day early to boot! Installed it when I got home from work. Ran some errands in the evening and I am definitely noticing improved acceleration when leaving from a stop. Also less hesitation on acceleration. Pleased with the results and happy that I...
Removed the MAF sensor today and discovered it was very coated on the inlet side and bare metal on the down stream side. I tried some compressed air from a computer duster but no joy.
Next I tried some rubbing alcohol in a pump sprayer. Again, no joy. Next I took the computer duster to clean...
I've been noticing a rough idle for just a minute or so at startup. Slight hesitation during cold acceleration and now I'm getting the P0101 code intermittently. I've erased the code 3 times and each time it comes back in less time. Just drove (2 days ago) 400 mile round trip. All was well...
Was out with my 2013 Denali during alight rain and noticed water puddling in the passenger foot well. A little investigation revealed it was coming down
the A pillar. When we got home I pulled off the upper door trim and a pillar trim panel. There was water on the body under the cover. On a...
When I have 4 people in my 13' Yukon Denali the air compressor seems to run constantly. With just 2, no problems, it runs at startup and quits after 10 seconds or so. I'm guessing I need new rear shocks? Any experience with this problem? Just noticed this 2 weeks ago.
Dash voltage showed what I thought was slightly higher than normal. You'll notice there are not a lot of digits on that gauge. Difficult to be accurate without even tic marks to go by. I'm thinking there was no problem and that the headlights failed just a few days apart by coincidence...
It was operator error. . . .I checked the battery voltage and couldn't beleive the reading. Went to my workbench and grabbed a trusted VOM. Sure
enough that VOM made by the dressmakers was off by 2 and a half volts! Pic was taken with the key off. Arrrgh!
Hope this is a good thread to post in for my problem. Have had both headlights fail in the past 3 weeks. I've been watching the voltage indicator on the dash and I'm seeing 16 volts at times. Tonight I drove home and it was indicating at least 16 volts. Left it run in the drive way and got...
With new pads and new rotors after the first brake job I would have thought that everything would be nice and smooth. The problem started right away though and continued when I put in the new rotors the second time. If I had the ability I think that bleeding the brakes would be the next step.
If there were a sensor failure would there not be a code showing up? I'd thought of a problem with the rear brakes but as I understand it the rear brakes don't have as much effect as the front.
Have the same issue with my 13 Yukon. Soft braking makes the pedal flutter. Flutter slows as the vehicle does. I've replaced the front rotors twice in the last 6 months. The first time when I was doing a front brake job (it needed it!). The second time to try and stop the problem. I bought...
I also have a 2013 Denali and would very much like to improve the 'down the road' distance on high beam. Toward that end I seen a Yukon in a move recently (forget the title) but it had headlight bulbs both top and bottom in the stock housings. Not sure what it used for front facing turn...
The dimmer stalk works fine. When you turn it all the way up it causes the dome lights to come on. Turning it down causes both the dash and infotainment system to dim. When driving on the highway at night I prefer the dimmer all the way dim. No other complaints but the poor DIC level during...
I have a 2013 GMC Yukon Denali, bought used 3 years ago. Since I've owned the vehicle I've had a problem with the DIC being too dim in bright sunlight. Sunglasses only complicate the problem. Is there a fix for this or some way to trick the vehicle into turning up the level on the DIC...
I have a 2013 Yukon Denali and am disappointed with the lack of brightness on the DIC. I've driven other GM stuff of this type and they also have a very dim DIC during the day. Is there a mod out there to improve the brightness? I'm betting some lawyer told an engineer how bright it could be!
Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately there are no stickers on the bottom of either side of the windshield and the dash control does work. At night it too bright, it turn it down as far as it will go. If I don't find a solution this week think I'll go to the junkyard and buy a GM...
I have a 2013 Yukon Denali with the same issue. I cannot make the driver info center bright enough to see while driving in bright sunlight. Sunglasses only compound issue. Is there a fix or hack to improve the brightness? Not having a schematic I can only assume that the level of brightness...
Wow, that would have been much cheaper and WHOLE lot easier than replacing the unit. I'm glad the info is now here where it can be found by poor typists like myself!
I had the exact same problem. My deck would accept and eject the discs just fine, but would not 'find' them when first inserted...
Getting that trim off around the radio is a real pain. I had the best luck with a thin stainless machinists ruler to get it started. The wider the better, keeps from making divots in the dash when you pry. The trim tool I have was too thick as that gap in really narrow. Once I had it off I...
No, I did not know the part number until I had the old unit removed.
I had thought about removing the player from the radio to aid in the search for a replacement but didn't put the effort forth to do it. At this point I'm glad I didn't. The worst part of this job is taking the radio apart to...
