    Superchips over-the-counter Tune

So I bought a superchips tuner for my rig along with a CAI over the holiday season. I installed the CAI and then tuned. The problem is, I don't notice much of a difference. I understand you cant get the same sort of 'gains' from a pre-packaged tune as you can with something from like Black...

Whats up TYF. Haven't posted or been lurking for a while, but today I decided I'm gonna install a CB radio. The plan is to install it to the existing tape deck spot since it is non-operational since I installed my new stereo. Much like this guy's install...

Anyone used the HD tie-rod sleeves from RC

I was thinking about beefing up my tie rods with the sleeves from Rough Country. For $35 I thought it'd be worthwhile. Has anyone tried these out? Someone with an '01 Tahoe gave them a good review but that could always be faked you never know...

Halo retrofit! All you need to know, parts, supplies, instructions, and pics

So I spent this afternoon retrofitting my OEM headlights and DRL housings with Halos. It was not that bad. Tough at times, but definitely worth it. This mod assumes you've already done the Full Time DRL mod as found in this thread otherwise your halos will only work while your DRL's are on...

I have some Centerlines that I've been running on my Hoe for a long time. They've been awesome, but I wanted smaller wheels. They are 20x8, (6 lug obviously) I have a sent of matching lugs that are anti-theft as well as the tool for the lugs as well. 3 are wrapped in Toyo AT I tires with...

    Headlight Baking

Does anyone have any advice/instructions to baking headlights? I'm going to install a halo around my highbeam bulbs and around my DRLs. I need to bake all of my lights so I can install the 4 halos. I've never done this before and I don't want to mess up my lights. Also, if anyone knows the...

    Tow Mirrors?

I'm looking to get some tow mirrors for my Tahoe. Has anyone swapped out the original mirrors? If so, please post your source for the mirrors. Also, the ones I've seen online have the turn signal LEDs, but my factory mirrors are only heated and powered. Is there a easy way to wire this up by...

The deed is done. Took out autoride, 2" lift, Bilstein 5100's and z71 coils

So I finally got all my suspension parts put in my Hoe and got a new set of tires and wheels. I downsized my 20x8's to 16x8's and sized up my 275/55 AT tires to 285/75 MT tires. 2.5" front lift from new keys, and 2+" rear lift from z71 coils and 1.5" coil spacers. I couldn't be happier with...

    LED Lighting and Stereo interference

Not sure if any of you have any experience with this but you might be able to help. First some background info: I have a aftermarket stereo installed as well as multiple LED bars. *180 watt front bumper bar *54 watt behind grill *500 watt on roof *2x18 watt rear facing camp/backup/tailgater...

Just finished my roof rack.. pics inside

I have updated the photos ITT to show what it looks like now. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the result. As I suspected, the addition of the light bar with the mounting configuration I went with has eliminated ALL wind noise the rack used to make. It would howl loudly over 40mph due to the...

Bilstein shocks model #'s for 2" lift?

I'm going to use keys/spacers and z71 coils in my Tahoe. I want to take out the autoride and replace the shocks with bilsteins. Looking online, I can find the right ones for my Tahoe, but I think I will need longer ones than the replacements since I'm lifting about 2" I know quite a few of...

Keys + Spacers + Bilsteins = Lift with good ride?

If I bought 3" keys (or just cranked the factory keys) and got spacers for the rear and then replaced the front shocks with bilsteins, and then got an alignment, what would be the downsides to this? would my wheel bearings still wear out? would my ride suck? anyone done this to their ride?

    Trimming wheel wells

Has anyone done any trimming in the front wheel wells to fit bigger tires and eliminate rubbing? I might need to do this and I'm not sure what to remove? Is it just the black plastic inside the well? Thanks

Pretty new here. I've created a Tahoe page on Reditt for those intereseted

I'm pretty new to the forums, but I've been wasting time on Reddit for a couple years now. I finally made a subreddit dedicated to Tahoes/Yukons (GM SUV's). If you are on Reddit, drop by and subscribe and contribute! www.reddit.com/r/ChevyTahoe

285/70/r17 fit on 2001 LT Tahoe?

Im getting a set of 17x9 wheels and some toyo MT's to wrap them in. The guy at the tire store said on the phone that 265/70/r17 would fit safer with no rubbing. The issue is I don't want to put skinnier tires on wider wheels. (275/70/r20) especially since my current AT's are wider. I really...

    2001 tahoe headlight relay locations

So I've seen a few threads on running full time DRL lights by grounding one of the headlight relay pins. I've been wanting to do this ever since I bought some sweet amber LED DRL replacements. I just don't know where all the relays are. I haven't really messed with any of the electronics before...
