There is NO option to turn adaptive cruise off without turning cruise off too. Tell me where it is if you know, my dealer said there is no option for that.
Look I said I don't use it in heavy traffic! It's any traffic and I don't like to slow down when all I need to do is pass! But when it slows down 600' before you get to the car in front of you that's ridiculous. You end up driving in the passing lane just to prevent this. Sorry but you don't...
Heavy traffic-no, just the average interstate traffic. Yours must be set up differently. If the "short" setting was much shorter it might be okay, but it slows down when way too far behind the car ahead of you; long before you think about moving to the other lane to pass. It's just annoying so...
No because if there is a slower vehicle 600' in front of you it will gradually slow you down before you realize it you're going 10+ mph slower for no reason. The shorter setting (there are three) reduces that distance but it's still too much. It slows you down before you even think about...
I literally hate this thing! Why didn't GM give us the option of turning it off? It's the most annoying thing ever if there's any traffic. Constantly slowing you down and speeding you back up and I have it set as "short or close" as possible. I'm sure it is detrimental to gas milage too. I...
I was given this pn for the fascia with cutouts for both hooks. I do NOT know if this is correct or not as no picture is available: 22936425 about $59 list.
I am still fighting with GM over this screw up and just found out today there is a new Bulletin out that hopefully will resolve this for non adaptive cruise Yukons.
I ordered recovery hooks on my Denali and no Adaptive Cruise. It still had only the passenger side hook (dealer installed). There is no reason it couldn't have the driver's side too, there is no restriction there. Just another screw up by GM. I am still trying to get this sorted out.
