    Finally stranded me...

When batteries are wired in parallel, you are correct that it acts like one 12V battery. The second battery will add additional amps. There is no benefit to swapping,as accessories will draw off both batteries equally (since electrically they are acting as one).

2007-2014 Tahoe owners - would you do it all over...?

I had an 09 that was great. Bought a 2011 that was not so great. It had all maintenance on time according to the manual. The motor started running rough with no power. Limped into the dealer who said they had to replace the computer and rebuild the bottom half of the engine. I consider that...

2007-2014 Tahoe owners - would you do it all over...?

My 2009 has also been the money pit. Too many blend doors, brake switces, batteries, grounding issues, window regulators, various sensors, and a lower engine rebuild at 89K miles.

2007-2014 Tahoe owners - would you do it all over...?

I would not purchase a Tahoe if had to do all over again. Great ride, roomy, and comfortable, but cost of repairs is ridiculous. Major engine issues at 75K miles is not reasonable. Also sick of replacing electric window motors, blend doors, brake switches, computers, audio components, rear hatch...

    2008 Yukon Electrical Problems

KIZMO: If your dashboard gauge reads 14, you are probably OK. There may be better ways, but I always test by starting the engine, and then pulling off the positive battery cable. The engine should remain running. Then insert your multi-meter (set for DC volts) between that positive cable (you...

    2008 Yukon Electrical Problems

KIZMO: Its the main ground cable from the battery to the block that is inherently too small for the electrical load. It may test out as within "spec", but its just too small. Get a larger battery cable and put new/larger connectors on both ends, and your problem is solved. Its been over a year...

    2008 Yukon Electrical Problems

I had this same issue with my 2009 Tahoe. After changing out the battery, the fuse, the fuse connection box, alternator, etc.....and having the problem go away for a while only to come back at some point later. I finally started testing on my own. I believe the ground cable from the batter is...

    2008 Yukon Electrical Problems

Was there ever a solution to this? I'm suddenly having exactly the same problem with my 2009 Tahoe w 88K miles. Thanks!
