Ours just went out on our 2015 YDXL. We did opt for the extended warranty, so we are covered. Dealer had one available too. Just doing a little research and it appears that this is a common issue. Glad I went with the extended warranty now (I usually don't)
My daughter's are 11 and 8 and not in car seats. I think they both rested their feet in a position that the seat collapses on with the easy out feature. They couldn't even get their feet out without me moving the seat. All the while they were screaming in pain. VERY SCARY.
Has anyone else's kids had their toes smashed by the front seat sliding back when turning off the car? It has happened twice to two of my girls. Very scary and painful situation.
I know I should be able to turn the feature off, but the design shouldn't allow for that in the first place.
Looks GREAT. Had we had the time to wait, that color was at the top of the list. I preferred the 20's (chrome) because my wife drives it 95% of the time. That way she doesn't draw the added attention that comes with big rims. And she could care less if it has 22s or 20s.
Bought it at $1400 because it was good deal. I usually don't get the warranty, but with the high cost of the YD XL $1400 was a very small percentage to add to the price. In addition, we will have the truck long term and don't want to think about maintenance for a while. As stated prior only...
Getting into the back seat is easy as there is a push button that you tap twice to tumble the second row forward, from what I recall the bench tumbles the same way the buckets tumble.
Not sure if the XL is an option for you, but I would advise looking into it if you plan on keeping your rig for...
Your best bet is to test drive both and make your decision from there. Now if you are trying to be cheap, don't test drive both, just get the Yukon and be done with it.
My wife test drove both and immediately noticed the power difference between the two. I gave her no indication of...
ACC can really be an annoying feature. I would rather not have it at all. It performs well, but the YD accelerates HARD once a car moves out the way allowing you to get back up to speed.
I drive with CC probably 75% of the time as it keeps me from speeding. I find myself overriding the ACC...
We went with 20s over 22s because it's the wife's ride. I don't want her riding in something that someone may want to steal the wheels of off. She could care less about rims and would probably scratch them to h3ll. Not to mention replacement tires will cost less and last longer. All that said...
You did a great job. It looks factory for sure.
I personally also like the clean look. I've been seriously considering taking the Yukon XL badge off the back. And then probably try to cover the red portion of GMC with chrome to give it a clean look.
I just recently realized that only the...
I assume you mean just the Yukon XL and not the GMC?
I'd like to know the answer as well. I'm fine with the GMC but I'd like to see it all chrome instead of the red insert. I wouldn't mind taking the Yukon XL off though.
I'd bet the Yukon XL is a sticker while the GMC is attached with holes.
When switching to my android device for audio MyLink automatically plays my audio music app. I want to switch the audio to come from a different app but I have no clue how to do it. Any suggestions?
I bought a couple of these sets from Amazon that work well.
It's more-so having an additional remote that I would like. Since both screens can watch their own content separate remotes would be nice. There is even a spot in both screens to hold a remote.
EXCELLENT review! The only part I would disagree about is the third row seating. My wife is only 5'1 and she can barely sit back there. I would reserve it for small children only. The Acadia third row was more accommodating than the Tahoe.
Definitely agree about the lack of HDMI. I hope...
Our YD XL came with one set (2) of headphones and one remote for the DVD. It seams that since there is a second screen it should have came with two sets and two remotes. What gives?
