Thanks for all the replies. I wasn't writing about the ride noise, just that the engine seems to run smoother in this 2020. Mine seems to hesitate and stutter sometimes. Well, I guess I'm probably trying to make up some excuse to buy a new vehicle; maybe not!
Thanks for asking, but I'm not sure. It's actually a rental from Enterprise; no papers in the car.
I doubt that it's much more than the base model. Have they been using the 10-speed transmission on the LTs?
I have a 2017 Tahoe Primer bought brand new in 2017. Recently, I had the reason to drive a new 2020 Tahoe LT. My question is: Why does the new 2020 LT seem to drive better, smoother than my 2017? Did they improve the engine and transmission that much from the 2017?
My 2017 drives OK with about...
I have the same problem with my 2017 Tahoe Premier. There should be a cargo net that came with your Tahoe. I hooked it up to the back of the truck and it helps keep groceries and stuff from sliding out. I found this solution after dumping a couple bags of groceries on the driveway! The cargo...
Mystery solved... today I noticed I was getting a notice to update an app on my infotainment system. The notice only shows briefly, but this time I saw it and told it to update “Now”. That seemed to take care of the problem. No more spinning icon (circle).
Thanks to those that responded...
I have a blue spinning circle on the dashboard display screen up in the left top corner near the temp reading. Does anyone know what this is? 2017 Tahoe Premier with about 4,590 miles.
I went through all this during the first of this year. I just couldn't see paying $8K to $10K more for a GMC Yukon Denali when I could get a very nice Chevrolet Tahoe Premier. It's all I needed to get from point A to point B. I am enjoying my new 2017 very much and also enjoy not having a...
I'm on my third Tahoe. Had a 2008 Z71, then a 2012 LTZ, and now a 2017 Tahoe Premier. I like the space I get inside. This time I opted for a bench seat in the second row, but we rarely have anyone back there. I'm getting petty stiff in my joints so the Tahoe is about the only think I can...
I've actually figured out how to set the "Easy Exit/Entry" feature and that seems to work pretty well. I have the seat drop down as far as possible and can get my butt up and in the seat much easier. Then, when starting the truck, the seat raises back up to where it's supposed to be. Nice...
I just love the ride and the ease of handling. This new one is a pleasure to drive. Siren Red Tintcoat was ordered direct from the factory. Best looking Tahoe on the road, IMHO.

Hey, thanks for the input. I'm 67 and my wife is 72. She hops in and out of the Tahoe like it's a sports car, no problem at all. In the garage, She gets around to the passenger side and seated while I'm still trying to pull myself up! Dang woman!
I'm an Accountant by trade and definitely NOT...
TxChevyz71 - that sounds like it might cost a pretty penny. I'd consider doing something like that if both my hips give out, hopefully, not until the far future!
Thanks.

Swathdriver - That might be an idea, although having to retro-fit my new Tahoe with retractable boards might be more expensive that a lowering kit? I might try what you suggest.

Thanks for the quick reply. More information.
I have fixed running boards and getting out of the vehicle isn't a problem.
I'll see if I can explain this. My back won't let me bend, so I have to lift my right leg and place my foot in the floorboard of the truck under the steering wheel...
I recently bought a very nice 2017 Tahoe Premier with all the new tech that my older 2012 Tahoe LTZ didn't have. I'm really enjoying this new ride although I'm having a little problem that some of you youngsters haven't been up against.
With a stiff back and arthritis, I can't easily climb...
In in San Antonio and I went with a 2WD. I don't pull anything and it's really my wife and I in the truck most of the time. I have the 5.3L with the 6-spd transmission. I don't do off-roading and I drive my vehicle mostly in city and occasionally on the highway. I'm retired so we're taking...
I just bought a 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premier with just about everything except the retractable running boards. I did order the HUD. I was looking at the 2017 Yukon Denali, but they wanted way, way too much for that vehicle and all they had were black, silver, and white.
I talked to my Chevy...
