    Just noticed I didn't state the in city driving mpg which for me is 15.5 to 16 mpg doing all stop and go city driving. Going to work which is a straight 12.5 mile drive with only a couple of stops mixed with city driving I get around 17 to 18 mpg.

    Lift Gate non functioning diagnosed!!

    The lift gate on our 2013 Tahoe quit working while on vacation last week. Turned out that it was operator error, the rocker switch was turned off. I didn't even know you could turn the power lift gate off. My son thought it was funny when he found out what was wrong.

    Well you know what they say about people that assume. That's why I don't work at a tire shop, I just support them more often than I like.:happy3: BTW, any suggestions on snow chains, seeing you work with tires you have probably seen some bad results from using the wrong type of snow chains.

    :hmm:lol The tires are 17", I have never measured the rims, just assumed they were 17" also. Tires are the rubber inflatable part, the rim is metal and together they make the wheel assembly. At least that the way I have always understood it. :signs8:

    I'm running 17" tires on the Tahoe and tow at speeds between 55-65 only. The shop is one of the highest rated drive line shop in the LA county, he has done custom work for a number of big name race drivers. Maybe that is my problem, I'm not a big name.

    Changed Out Rear End Gears

    Thanks, I am looking into an aftermarket tuner but good to know the dealer can also do a reset. The Tahoe goes into the shop tomorrow, taking out the defective 3:42 gears and install new 3:73 set of gears. Wish me luck as things haven't been going well getting the Tahoe for our trip.
