    Dying on idle.

Honestly not sure, when it is summer if I flip the key and let it set for a few seconds it starts right up. If I just go for a start right away it just cranks forever. I think it loses the prime for some reason or has a drop in pressure.

    Dying on idle.

Nope, right now it is consistently not doing it since the summer heat is gone.

    Dying on idle.

I have had this same thing on my '05 XL for a couple years. In the summer it happens and in the winter it goes away. Never any codes. I have gotten used to in the summer I turn the key to on an let is sit for couple seconds to prime, sometimes while driving and I stop at a stop light the idle...

MBRP vs Magnaflow cat-back, opinions on either?

I have the Magnaflow catback on my '05 Yukon XL. Sounds great, little bit of drone at about 2200-2700 rpm on the highway. I have had it for years and it still sounds nice.

Yukon XL towing capacity: 3.73 vs 4.10

Yea, you can look up on https://catscale.com/ and see where they are, I have used them all over.

Yukon XL towing capacity: 3.73 vs 4.10

No, but it is cheap to get a truck weighed. They usually ask what the weigh is for, if you don't want to say "just curious" it is an alternate route. No benefits other than they tend to be more used to it.

Yukon XL towing capacity: 3.73 vs 4.10

At any truck stop scale just telling them you are doing a military move. I have weighed my truck several times for a military move since they reimburse by weight of goods moved. As a side note I hauled a trailer with cargo weighing in at 9K loaded. Truck did great, just was a bit underpowered...

Up and down idle after intake manifold gasket replacement

Try taking a reading from the wiring on the TPS and see what you get. Run the throttle up and down smoothly and see if you have any dead spots on the wiper. It is a potentiometer and can fail over the years. https://www.silveradosierra.com/vortec-5-3l-v8/bad-tps-t577009.html#p5724961

    Catalytic Converter(s) Question

I think the difference in placement is due to the pipe length. the drivers bank is "closer" because it has that extra series of bends up front, moving the cat up may have the same overall pipe distance compared to the passenger side.

For fun... How many miles on your Yukon

05 Yukon XL with 235K on it. Biggest bill so far was front brakes, upgraded to powerstop. Driven across the country twice this year (Washington to Florida and back) and still running strong.

Bad Trailer Sway/ 02 Yukon XL SLT. Changes to make?

I swapped my rear coils out to the z71 springs and put in Bilstien 4600 shocks all around and it helped not squat and be a lot less floaty on the road. After this I added the Air Lift 1000 bags in the coils and that reduced the drop significantly when I load up the cargo bay or hook up a heavy...

Bad Trailer Sway/ 02 Yukon XL SLT. Changes to make?

Yea not enough tounge weight. I'm in the process of a cross country move with my 05 XL 1500 and I'm towing a trailer with 6k combined weight. 60% percent of cargo weight is forward of the axles. I don't have a WD hitch but I did add the airlift 1000 air springs to help with squat. Tows fine at...

    Stock-to-Leveling Height.... Bilstein 4600 or 5100?

I got them off craigslist but 4600's and z71 coils on the rear. Have done a couple of rough forest service development roads and did great.

    P0651 code.

Reader on this page. Sounds like it is a sensor for A/C or the fuel tank. https://www.2carpros.com/questions/chevrolet-tahoe-2004-chevy-tahoe-engine-stalls-has-p0651-service-engine-cod

Z-71 coils on rear of Denali XL?

Moog Z71 springs pushed my rear about 2 inches higher than the front. I did 4600's at the same time so can't comment a lot on harshness but it is definitely firmer than the ZW7 package I took off.

    The exhaust dead horse...

You can always ask the shop to add a hemholtz resonator to the exhaust to combat drone. If you really want no drone it is probably your only option.

    Stock-to-Leveling Height.... Bilstein 4600 or 5100?

In my reading most people say the 5100's are more floaty then the 4600's. I know bistein claims they are the same valving just longer but a lot of people seem to switch over to the 4600's and love them. I put 4600's and z71 Springs on mine and love it compared to the zw7.

    Nnbs intake swap question

I think you have to reuse your stock TB unless you get a kit for the wiring, but you will need an adaptor plate. here is a write up I found that I will use when I get around to doing mine. http://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/how-to-03-07c-nbs-tbss-nnbs-intake-swap.264691/
