I'm no car audio expert so keep that in mind lol but I did however install this mod on my Yukon. As far as bleed over I know what you mean. When I switch over to XM preview you can still here XM audio until you plug in your ipod/phone/mp3 and then it takes over. Not sure how it works but it does...
i ran some seafoam threw it after i replaced the plugs/wires a few months ago, and well, i got sidetracked grilling pork chops and drinking beer tonight so havent had a chance to clean the TB yet lol but when i do ill post back results.
Minimal fluctuations at least in the gauge. I'd say it is fluctuating though because the dome lights will dim when it happens almost like the alternator is "slowing down" and the plugs/wires are less the 3k miles old
Hey guys, my denali has started idling kinda rough lately. It's weird though because it will be fine then surge almost like it has a cam in it then be fine then surge. It does this off and on several times while idling at a stop light or while in park. My first thought was fuel pump, but I...
Just went threw this wih my brothers Sierra. It's probably the 3-4 shift solenoid. $20 part at oreillys. Drop the trans pan and it a simple swap.:waytogo:
I'd like to know the same thing. Pretty sure the bearings are going bad on my denali as well. I've searched here and on the net and haven't found anything too detailed.
run your exhaust all the way out the back of the truck and put a hooker aero chamber muffler on it. Itll sound good at idle, very acceptable at cruising, but when you push down the skinny pedal everyones gunna know you mean buisness!
id do cam and lt's if i was you. thats what im doin this...
Your denali should have a small factory trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator but if i were you i would invest in a Tru Cool 40k GVW heavy duty trans cooler to replace your factory unit. You can pick em up on ebay for around $120 and there very simple to install. I put one on my last...
I had no idea those SS wheels were available as a factory option on a Tahoe! Oh well, would rather find out here than during a drunken argument with a buddy. A drunken argument that most certainly would have been solved via google search. A drunken argument that i undoubtedly would have lost lol.
I painted mine myself and its holding up good so far, though its only been 2 months. The prep process was VERY tedious and time consuming but the end result was well worth it. started out by scuffin the shit out of it with a red scotch bright pad, making sure to hit ALL the corners/tight...
Maybe I was too blunt in my previous post as it seems you think we completely close off the primaries. The top side might have been clearanced an 1/8 in. The bottom side maybe a 1/4 in. I have no doubt that this changes the scavenging effect and flow characteristics of that primary but if you...
We installed a set on my brothers 05 Sierra 4x4 a couple months back. There a nice looking piece with good welds and thick flanges. Price is great too but 4wd fitment is ehh. Had to clearance the front primary to clear the steering shaft a little bit but the bottom side was the big issue...
The .212/.218 comp low lift cam is a great little cam for the 5.3's. Retains stock converter and helps out the low end of those motors which is something they lack. ANY cam swap will need a tune afterwards to achieve the maximum potential out of the swap but IIRC that particular cam does not...
I honestly think that's what it was. Oh well lost out on a 5+ year repeat customer and I go threw cars like most babies do diapers....all of which have either muffler, tip, or full exhaust work done. In the last 5 years my wife and I have been threw 13 vehicles, I guess I get bored lol.
I was at Grain Valley muffler this morning. I'm just going to take it to royal in lees summit one day after work next week. Think ill go ahead and remove the stock muffler and the Y/merge portion of the tail pipe so it's more of a straightforward install. Hopefully they won't give me the same...
It was pretty mellow on his truck w/ a 5.3 until we installed LT's then it droned pretty bad. BUT it was dumped. Not sure of the model im pretty sure its a "universal" turbo. And ive been watchin for your suburban around town, thing looks sick!
It will not be dumped, will deff...
well i wondered about that too, but if im leaving the stock talipipe/tip exiting out the back that should eliminate most of the drone right? i thought you only got drone when it was dumped and "echoed" off the bottom of the vehicle?
Ok, long story short. My brother swapped mufflers on his truck and gave me the magnaflow he removed. Its a single 2 3/4 dual 2 3/4 (reversible). Took it and my denali to my local muffler shop, whom ive used over a dozen times in the past with great results, and he preceded to tell me if i...
I was about to say my money is on the blower motor resistor and then I read your edit lol had the same issue with my last truck (05 Sierra) and the resistor was under the dash, passenger side kinda below/behind the glove compartment. That's a pretty good deal on that too considering I bought...
