    Upgraded to a 2021 Escalade

Yep, had 180,000 miles on the Tahoe. No major problems, was a very good vehicle. Hope the Escalade will be that reliable.

    Upgraded to a 2021 Escalade

Replaced our 2009 Tahoe LTZ with a 2021 Escalade 3.0 Duramax. Didn't want to spend that much on the Escalade, but now that we have it glad we did. The SUV is outstanding. We live in Southern Indiana, found it at Cincinnati Cadillac. Hats off to Cincinnati Cadillac, they were very easy and...

    new 2009 Tahoe LTZ owner

Had that same problem also. Oil pressure gauge on the dash was showing 0 oil pressure. Was going to replace the oil switch myself but decided to let the dealer do it. If you do it I would use a AC Delco / GM switch, no after market. There are plenty of on line videos on how to access it...

    new 2009 Tahoe LTZ owner

We have a 2009 Tahoe LTZ also with 178,000 miles on it. I would not disable the air ride, we love to smooth ride you get with the air ride. I replaced the shock and air pump several years ago with OEM parts on ours. If I did it again I would remove the spare before replacing the shocks, it...

6.2 gas vs. 3.0 Duramax, which one to buy?

Looking to get a 2021 - 2023 Escalade, not sure to get the Duramax or the gas? What kind of mileage (MPG) are people getting? Both are about the same torque. I do tow a ski boat or a JD compact tractor at times. Have not had any trouble with towing using our 5.3 Tahoe.

    Suspension help.

Our 2009 LTZ rides like a dream with 158,000 miles. I would check the front sway bar links. Awhile back ours was handling funny, checked and one sway bar link was gone and the other had worn out bushings. If the front struts and rear shocks have not been replaced with that mileage they are...

Police vs Civilian front brakes (again, sorry)

The Police rotors will work. I put the Police rotors (front and rear) on our 2009 Tahoe LTX. I had replaced our rotors twice with StopTech Cyro rotors and had warped rotors both times. Going to the Police rotors with over 5000 miles on them now no rotor run out yet. I went with the Advanced...

    Where's It Going (coolant)???

You can get the tablets @ a GM dealer, I also saw them at Advanced Auto in the GM package. I forgot to mention during our research about this, GM recommends adding the tablets anytime the coolant is changed or replacing the water pump or any major component where you loose the coolant.

    Where's It Going (coolant)???

My brother had a 2004 with the same issue. GM had an issue with the material heads were cast with and would seep coolant through the porous material. GM has a tablet to put in the radiator. He put the tablet in and it took care of the problem. It would be worth a try.

Anyone pull a dump trailer with their Tahoe/Yukon

I pull a 18' car hauler with my John Deere 4200 compact utility tractor (front loader / rear blade) with no problem, although not daily. I did add a aftermarket bake controller (CURT 51140 TriFlex Electric Trailer Brake Controller) from Amazon $70. Easy install, wiring is right above the knee...

    2010 Escalade suspension issues

Got the new shocks installed this evening. Although this past weekend (before new shocks) when towing the boat the pump was not running. What fuse powers the pump? Or the pump when bad?

    2010 Escalade suspension issues

How do I check to see if I have a leak, shocks, lines, ect..? Our 2009 LTZ's air pump seems to be running longer and more than in the pass.

    Brake Controller No Power

Do you think I should put a line fuse, or is that circuit fused in the fuse box?

Found both the wires as the video showed. Should be simple connection now. Thanks for the info and video!

    Brake Controller No Power

Our 2009 LTZ did not have the Integrated Brake Control. I just installed a CURT controller. I do not have power on the Red/Black wire on the factory Electric Brake Control Wiring Provision. I see something in the owner manual about "two circuits are installed in the under hood electrical...

    Hello..2009 Tahoe Z71

Our 2009 LTX started to use oil @ the rate of 1 qt every 1000 miles. I bought the Range AFM device to shut down the AFM. The transmission doesn't down shift as much going up slight grades and the oil usage is down to 1 qt every 2500 miles. It has not affected the gas mileage enough to bother...

    Eng Code P0442 & P0449

Our 09 Tahoe gave codes P0442 & P0449. Awhile back the 442 came up, replaced the gas cap with a GM cap from GM Part Direct. Just the other day 442 & 449 came up, reset the light and it stayed off for about a week. Any other ideas?

    New Tires

Here is my 2 cents, had the Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas on or 2009 CPO, got 60,000 miles on them. Replaced with the Michelin LTX M/S2. Seems to a bit quitter and a little better ride. Went with the Michelins being had those on our 2500 truck and loved the mileage and ride, got over 60,000 out...

    AFM yay or nay?

I have 125000 on our 2009 LTZ using the Range disabler and have went from using 1 qt. of oil every 1000 miles to 1 cup every 1000 miles. Gas mileage went down just a little, not enough to worry about. Transmission does not down shift as much when going on a uphill grade. I had tried a...

    What rotors do you recommend?

I agree with the drilled and slotted, get the cryogenic treatment (money well spent). I use those on our 2009 LTZ pulling a boat and they resist warping with the added heat generated with the extra weight. Tire rack is where I got mine, their price is not bad.

2007-2014 Tahoe owners - would you do it all over...?

YES Our 2009 LTX is great, would try to find a 6.2 if you are towing, although our 5.3 pulls our ski boat fine. We were having trouble with high oil usage, I got a disabling devise to plug into the OBD port and the oil usage has decreased tremendous. The 6 speed transmission is the only way...

Newbie here and need advice based on mileage

My brother had the same problem with his 04 Tahoe. There is a service bulletin about if you change the coolant, water pump, t-stat, ect… to put some type of tablet in the coolant system. He got the tablets from the Chevy dealer and it took care of his problem.
