    02 Tahoe mode door issues

Hi there, were you able to fix the issue? I have exactly the same behavior on my '02 Avalanche. Also replaced actuator twice, and head unit once to no avail. Seems like it's some wiring issue, but initial tests for the wires continuity didn't show any issue. I also read one TSB which tells...

    Burnout with Tahoe 5.3?

Not really a burnout, but it was quite easy to spin the tires when it rained and I waited for the green light on an intersection. But the rear diff locked almost immediatelly and stopped the fun. The G80 might not be a best for this kind of fun as it locks up 100% after slippage is sensed...

C0308 fixed but still "Service 4WD"

Thanks. I checked that ground location too and looks OK, I checked even some other locations. I didn't drive it in wet weather recently when the C0308 came up, but I had the tranny and t-case separated since I replaced rear main seal (at least there's not any oil leak at this stage, lol). -- I'm...

C0308 fixed but still "Service 4WD"

This damn dummy light issue harasses probably all NBS trucks with various causes. All of sudden, I got the "Service 4WD" light on on the dash. I was able to pull the C0308 code using AutoCal scanner/programmer. By following the troubleshooting instructions, I was able to find the cause which was...

How many vent hoses on 01-02 4WD?

Well I'm asking mainly because the hose leading from tranny vent joint to t-case seems bit too long and thus not going upward for the full length. Can this be an issue? I know that tranny vent hose should alway lead upwards.

How many vent hoses on 01-02 4WD?

Simple question(s), I could not find proper diagram for this: - Are the vent hoses from t-case and tranmission supposed to be connected together? - Or, should there be two vent hoses, one for t-case, other for the tranny? There is a hose joint on top of transmission but I'm not certain if I...

How to unlink trailer turn lights from stop light

Got it! It's really this white wire in turn signal switch connector under dash. After disconnecting, the trailer turn lamps don't light when stepping on a brake.

How to unlink trailer turn lights from stop light

Thanks for the link, it's useful.. However I have this wiring diagram which looks more or less correct when looking over internet for another diagram sources. As per this diagram, the white wire goes through the underhood fuse box to the turn signal switch and then back to the trailer L/R...

How to unlink trailer turn lights from stop light

Hi guys, a strange request here, but I'd like to ask if anybody knows how to unlink the stop light signal from the turn lights on the trailer connector? I need this for European plug where it's not allowed for the turn lights to engage on braking. We use amber lights only for turn signals. I...

What's this on the power steering cooler lines?

Ok, no matter what this is, the leak most likely came from the loose clamp. I was able to rotate the hose on the fitting without great efforts. So I replaced it with new clamp. Let's see...

What's this on the power steering cooler lines?

Yep, those are most likely two connected flare/barb fittings. And there's some sensor in one of them. I cleaned the area thoroughly and now waiting for the leak to start. Took the truck for 15mi trip around yesterday but still nothing. It probably need to go to a highway for a while.

What's this on the power steering cooler lines?

I found few oil drops on my garage floor and found out that those are power steering fluid cooler lines that leak somewhere. I've cleaned the area trying to find out the exact place of leak. It looks like PS fluid temp sensor or something. But I could not find this part on RockAuto. All I can...

    Passlock question

Anyone? For the first steps I just want to confirm that other Tahoes & Yukons have the same security system. That is, no chipped key but one must use Unlock button on the factory remote before cranking the engine. Thx!

    Passlock question

Got export version of Tahoe 01. I have a key without chip in it, but I always must press Unlock button on key fob before starting. Otherwise the engine starts and dies, together with Security lamp. Is this the same as with your US-built cars? I'm asking because I've got troubles with it. BCM...

'01 Tahoe - replacement of OEM cassette player

Thanks for the positive answer. I don't want The aftermarket one, because it attracts junkies and thrash :/ and I like the stock appearance :) Sent from my Žlumia using Board Express

'01 Tahoe - replacement of OEM cassette player

Greets to all from a fresh overseas owner of '01 Tahoe. Sorry if this has been questioned many times but I could not find the ultimate answer, so I rather ask before I buy... I have currently a factory cassette player (auto tone type) with external CD adapter mounted in the console. I'd like...
