Just to add - I have the same tip/ tune from MJ / and running 89 octane. Never had a soot problem other than a little on the bottom inner rim of the pipe.
Decided to mount it under the seat next to the amp. Less work, less complicated and easier to get at should the need arise. The unit does a great job. Audio frequency range is much better.
Installing an Audiocontrol LC6i in my 2010 Tahoe. Best place I can come up with is flat on the bottom of the inside of the console. Really not happy with that because all of my junk will sit on top of it and possible concern with heat from the unit not to mention exposed wiring. I thought I...
I was crawling under there today looking for a spot. there really isn't anything other than that big wire loom. The grommet is pretty rugged and taped engine side. Were you able to maintain a good seal after pushing the power cable through? Then there's the other small grommet just above...
There's a video on YT about running it through a grommet on the low passenger side. I'm about to do this also so I'd be interested in other opinions. Also, at the battery there is a terminal point to tie into at the battery itself and also one about a foot back on the firewall. that one is...
Got it. I see what you mean with the LCQ-1. Probably the safer way to go. Even though I'm not going high end - I may still be dissatisfied with the sound range if I go with a cheaper LOC like a PAC-SOEM4. I'd get the whole thing wired up and then discover I should have went with the LCQ.
I have a Kenwood 4 channel amp that I’m planning on installing in my 2010 Tahoe Bose – no Nav. I’m only installing new door and pillar speakers no Subwoofer. Crutchfield says I can go from the Bose amp to the speaker level inputs on the Kenwood amp which I understand. But isn’t there a...
Dealer verified right in front of me that the afterblow is on. I saw the * myself on the Tech II. But it has never gone on so far. I keep testing it though. I feel like I keep checking my trap to see if the rabbit has tripped it!
do you have to leave AC on for afterblow to engage?
I had the Afterblow function enabled in my AC Control Module at the dealer. They knew exactly what it was when I asked for it then they said they checked the functionality after they made the change.
I've tried twice to get it to work but...
Just a followup to my OP.
My local dealer, after I persisted, contacted GM and offered to replace the rear glass if I paid the $100 deductible. So, in the end I'm satisfied I was able to get it fixed. Shame though that consumers must fight and make known what is actually a situation that is...
I was thinking of using one of the Audiocontrol units from Crutchfield. But I have heard good things on the JL unit.
I also am thinking of doing the same upgrade like the OP keeping my sub and head unit. How easy (or hard) is it to run wiring? Will I have to remove consol, seats, etc.?
CHEVY DEALER VENTING ALERT!!!!!
I just got back from the dealer for this. I (Stupidly) allowed them to do their patch kit repair last fall. It lasted 6 months and broke off again. Manager said they like to try the repair kit first and if that didn't work they would have to replace the...
What is the trans service interval for a 2010 Tahoe? 45K? Also, does anyone have a maintenance schedule they can share? I know there's one in the manual but that one seems too simple?
Thanks
These pics are spot on. In the first one you have to cut the plastic back to accept the filters. See the screw seat all the way on the left? That is the only screw to hold it up. the back of your plate gets notched out. I did it a heavy 1/4 inch and it fits perfectly!
Cut the plastic...
I didn't take a pictures but the 2 photos that Tony posted is exactly what mine looks like. I do remember seeing other photos online - if you search you may find them. It's an easy mod. It took me probably 2 hrs total and I took my time (measure twice cut once!!!!).
I'm glad I did it I...
It helped the musty smell a lot but didn't get rid of it totally. I want to get one of those cans on spray to clean it out. I also read someplace you can install a relay that makes the blower stay on for a t time after you turn the vehicle off to dry everything out.
I did it on my 2010 Tahoe. It works great. Tony's links are what I used. It's a simple mod. I used my fein multitool for the cut. Just make sure you don't cut too far back. It should be a little wider than one filter. So you push one filter in and slide it back then slide the second...
I've tried it without success too. tried it every which way I could think of. Ended up using an old Ipod Nano I had. Now I just leave that in the truck and its always there ready to go. I don't think the vehicle head unit can read the mp3 file as the ipod does. With an ipod plugged in you...
Adams Polishes in Norwood
Not sure if you guys know - Adams polishes is going to have a demo day at Detailers Domain in Norwood on April 13th. I was going to give some of Adams products a try since so many here at TYF rave about them. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to see them...
