    Gas Smell

    I had the same thing a year ago, smelled gas inside the car and all around the truck but didn't see any leaking. Turned out the top of my gas tank was rusting through, after replacing that and the filler neck my smell was cured. Also replaced the fuel pump while under there.

    what engine oil do you guys use on your Tahoe?

    I use Pennzoil Platinum, change about every 4500. I'm using a Wix filter and I'm not sure how many miles it can take.

I'd run them on a 17x9, and someone online said the tire itself would be wider running on a 9" wide rim rather than an 8" wide rim?     Are you running oversized tires? If so did you ever re-gear? If not, that can create an extra load of wear on your transmission.

    Yes, but you'll have better pickup and go :D I know people have said with bigger tires, if you don't re-gear your torque converter next locks which can cause havoc on the drivetrain.
