I had the same issue. After much research... and don't forget.. youtube is your friend.... I decided to order
a replacement antennae.... followed instructions from youtube....and did the replacement in about 30 mins...and bingo.. everything is working fine. Water gets into the antennae and...
Hi Blaine
yes... you ..me and others have said pretty much the same thing.
It informs you that it' switching to either 2wd or 4wd.. but..that's it. no indication otherwise what it's in unless you check yourself.
Lots of other toys on that vehicle that I don't even use... but.. an indicator...
Hi Blaine
It was manually switched to 4wd.... I never use the auto feature.
I usually don't notice much difference until the wheels are turned and/or you are on dry pavement.
We did go out Sat evening.. switched back to 2wd and it ran wonderfully.
There is no awkward slippage in the torque...
Hi Carl
yes.. that was at the Detroit Autorama.
Thanks for the compliments.
To Ira... Torque converter? hmmmm.. ok.. that's a first I've heard about that type of issue with these but ok will keep that in mind.
ok.. so here's what I hate to admit... I did find part of the problem.
My wife...
Hi Carl
It's a "street car".... ya.. I know... full tube chassis chrome moly street car.. but.. it is a 535" Pontiac motor and runs on pump gas and I made a couple of passes last summer and it went 9.70 141 mph and there was a bit more left in it.
It's more of a street car /show car though...
Hey Carl
Thanks for the info. I'll try that and see what difference I feel but I just wonder why the drop off in response?? Is there a solution?
oh.. I like your 55!! so I posted a pic of my toy.
Hi everybody
I have a 2016 Tahoe LTZ and have been pretty happy with it.
It has approx. 60,000 miles on it....
and recently, I have noticed that it feels "sluggish"... mostly at lower rpms or city driving. On the highway it seems fine.
Not sure if it's my imagination but.. just seems like you...
I have had the same issue with my 2016 Tahoe ltz...started approx. 2 months ago...
low and behold... a couple of days ago .. I get a letter in the mail from generous motors...making me aware of this possible problem and if I do experience this... they will replace the vacuum pump under warranty...
Continuation.....I have now had my Tahoe back to the dealer for this repair and "update" for installing the shims.
The first time.. I took it in.. they apparently knew right away it needed the shims and were confident the problem would be solved.
Apparently.. they did not fix it.
I was contacted...
Hey everybody
I see there are a couple of threads where I can post this reply and my experience with the same or similar problem.
I purchased a 2016 Tahoe ltz a few months ago and from the very first day... anytime anybody sat in the passengers seat.. it sounded and felt like it wasn't bolted...
I did the brake upgrade with calipers/brackets and rotors from the 07 and up chev/ gmc's.
here's a link on what to get and how to do it.

Hi everybody
What I have been dealing with... although I've been getting by.... is that when I use to set my heat/a/c to 71 degrees.. and just push "auto" it would put out heat or a/c.. whatever was required.. and keep the cabin temp at that temperature.
I have found now... for example.. as now...
yup... I wasn't aware and an auto parts store sold me a cabin filter.. I found out after I got home and did some research... I don't have one that can be replaced.
take care all

hey guys.. sorry.. should've posted pics
look.. no more rust.. and no more rust again!

Hey everybody
just wanted to share some of the things I've been doing to my Tahoe in the last little while.
I've taken it off the road so I can drive one of my other vehicles for a while...and decided to do a few repairs and touch ups on my Tahoe that I've let go for a while.
so far... I've...

Hey everybody...
For some time now.. my parking brake release handle.. doesn't return fully after you pull on it to disengage the parking brake.
From what I've been researching... i'm thinking the parking brake mechanism needs to be replaced?
Does this sound about right ? and is it much...
oh wow...you are a wealth of knowledge and I feel like an idiot.
ok. maybe I shouldn't say much here first about how stupid I feel before I test this.. but.. no..... I didn't close the hatch.
duh! I'm such a dope! hahahahah
I appreciate your help.. and I am refusing to buy a new wiper...
after watching some how to's from this forum and other sites.. yes.. re flowing solder worked perfectly!

After reading your post. I decided to tackle this issue myself today.
With the motor out and apart.. I had EXACTLY the same issue as you did with the same bushing being seized.
I cleaned everything up and put it back together and tested with 12 v to ake sure the motor was still working and...
Hey everybody.... just as this forum has been so helpful in the past.. I thought I would post and see if anybody can give me any good advice on how to fix/repair my gear shift indicator.
It has gone quite dim... and just about unreadable.
