A/C Question - what is this - AC Delco 4131?

I am in the process of repairing my '03 Yukon after a front end collision. Before the wreck, A/C worked fine. After the wreck, nada. I see the condenser is visibly warped, so I am making a major assumption that it's the culprit. I will be replacing it and taking it in to be checked out/refilled...

Update to adding trans temp gauge...

Awesome! I'll keep an eye out for an HD or Denali cluster next time I am at the pick 'n pull!

Update to adding trans temp gauge...

@DougAMiller - awesome information! Thank you for sharing it! So, if I am reading this correctly....I SHOULD (I know nothing is guaranteed) be able to add a stepper motor and HD/Denali gauge overlay (and potentially an illumination light) to my 2003 Yukon and the trans temp should work? No...

Lower Ball Joints - replace joints or replace arm?

Cool, thanks guys. I am no pro, but I am not skittish about ripping stuff apart. I do have air tools as well, so that should help. It's reassuring to hear that this all should be doable in a day or so.

Lower Ball Joints - replace joints or replace arm?

I feel the same way - was watching a couple of videos this morning and it seems just as easy. I'll most likely replace the entire UCA and LCA so everything is updated - bushings and all. How'd it go for you? How long did it all take? Seemed like I should be able to complete it all on a weekend...

Lower Ball Joints - replace joints or replace arm?

Background is my 2003 Yukon with 139k miles needs a front suspension refresh. I will be doing upper control arms, pitman arm, inner and outer tie rods, and lower ball joints. Probably will replace sway bar end links too, because why not - I am in there already and it's cheap to do. Looks like...

    Tips/Tricks for Fuel Line Replacement?

After my recent brake line rupture and the resulting complete brake system replacement, I want to replace my fuel lines as well. They don't look too bad - a little suspect in spots, but I would rather just take care of it now. These things never fail at an opportune time. I've picked up the...

    Brake lines on rear axle

I honestly may bend my own....depends on when all my materials arrive. Ideally, I'd get this all done this weekend. The hard line kit is on it's way from Amazon and will be here tomorrow. Rockauto had the flex lines and those are on their way, but I am not sure when they are arriving. My...

    Brake lines on rear axle

On the way home from work yesterday my '03 decided to blow a brake line right under the driver's side door. As such, I am replacing the lines with a Delco prebent kit...I also ordered new flex hoses and calipers (as my calipers look pretty crusty - not sure if I can even break a bleeder...

    Can we get a sticky?

I think they would be but I am not 100% certain. I am running standard Moogs (Not the HD springs) with no spacers right now and I actually had to lower the boot on the shock as it was really compressed. I had to cut the zip tie, move it further down the shock body, and put on a new zip tie.

    Stock-to-Leveling Height.... Bilstein 4600 or 5100?

So, just to chime back in with my update. My old man has a '99 Tahoe that I put the yellow 4600's on last summer. I have an '03 Yukon that I put 5100's on about 2 weeks ago... The 4600's on the Tahoe felt a million times better than my old worn out suspension. I couldn't believe how much...

    Stock-to-Leveling Height.... Bilstein 4600 or 5100?

I read a ton on them and most information seemed to point to: 1) They'd be OK, even on a completely stock height vehicle, and 2) They are basically the same as the aftermarket 4600's, just longer. Some of the issue seems to be that OEM's use Bilsteins and those are valved using the OEM's...

    Stock-to-Leveling Height.... Bilstein 4600 or 5100?

The shocks in my 125k mile '03 Yukon are definitely in need of replacement (I just picked it up in Feb with 122k on it). As far as I can tell, it's the original set of shocks. I am planning to try and lift the front via the stock keys as much as "safely" possible (I don't want crazy driveline...

Ah, I see - I don't have AutoRide, and I have the open cubby in that spot. Thanks!

    Dumb Question - TCS Switch?

Cool, thanks for the reply. I haven't had mine in snow yet, so I haven't really had any experience with it. Glad to hear if it is present, it's not problematic.

    Dumb Question - TCS Switch?

I just realized that I don't seem to have a Traction Control switch in my 2003 Yukon SLT 4x4. I have the 5.3L Flex Fuel engine... is there a way to turn TCS off? Just odd to me - every car I have owned for the past 16 years has had one. Looked in the owner's manual and couldn't find anything.

    GM Tech 2

really dumb question, but I have never used AliExpress.... looking at the link, how do you notify the seller of which card you want and that you'd want the dongle? Is there a field at checkout or do they email you or something?

Looking for someone to change OEM dash lights to LED

for those that have done this....how dimmable are they really? I swapped my '00 Camaro over to all LED, and that was allegedly "dimmable" with the stock circuit/switch. At the end, I could barely impact their brightness - maybe by 5% maximum. Yes, they dimmed very slightly, but hardly even...

    Front Cup Holder rubber leafs?

I am coming into my '03 from a 2014 Sierra. I really hate the GMT800 cupholders. I love the "nubs" on the newer GM cupholders. My wife's previous Acadia was the same design as my Sierra, and her current Enclave uses it too. Call me crazy, but I did a quick eyeball and rough measurement, and I...

Fuel Gauge Issue - Apparently I Have a 26 Gallon Tank?

A friend did just forward me this...pay attention to post #8, #9, and #11. My thing is, even if it's just a dirty screen...if I am dropping the tank, I am changing the pump. It's a 14 year old vehicle with 122k on it...

Fuel Gauge Issue - Apparently I Have a 26 Gallon Tank?

I know this thread is a month old, but I am running into something similar on the 2004 Yukon I picked up 2 weeks ago. I picked it up with roughly half a tank. Drove it a couple of days, and had a few other issues creep up (O2's, plugs). As I was diagnosing it in the garage, it was running pig...
