    Thank you, the great advice I will have to use the starter, kill on my Tahoe as it is an 06 apparently, it's not hard to defeat to the embolizer. 01-06 gm trucks have become a popular target across the country .

    I would first try a Seafoam or Marvel mystery oil treatment in both the gas tank and oil follow the instructions for the amount for the crankcase the gas tank i would is 1 oz per gallon of the Seafoam you might be surprised Never use trans fluid for cleaning.

    My thought use Marvel Mystery oil as an additive it helped quiet mine , also make sure you don`t have a loose spark plug sounds just like a lifter. I have flushed mine at 150 to clean the out of the pan

    Did mine a few years ago when ordering the bolt count has to do with the mounting bolts , Getting the pitman are off is tough i cut mine with a grinder , Replaced due to wear , Mine started leaking at 120k so you did good , Get extra fluid to flush system or it will void the warranty
