If I press on the rear bumper and try to make it go up and down there is pretty loud rattling metallic noise like something is loose. I changed the sway bar bushings, end links, did the brakes, etc. and it's still there. If I go over a big bump in the road I can hear it again...
I'm wondering...
My ESV came with that storage box. I found it to be a total pain for groceries due to the angle at which it sits - everything just ends up rolling out of the trunk by the time you get home! It can really ruin your day if you have anything in bottles or jugs... I took mine out today...
For anyone looking for the wiring diagram... Not my document, but thought I'd share
:)
So it appears, the front and rear doors have the main woofer and tweeters together but the mids in the front doors are on their own hmmm... Seems like the dash speakers are part of the (dvd) surround...
I'm upgrading the sound system in my 2016 ESV and so far I've got sub and door speakers all figured out but was wondering, what do you guys do with the dash speakers (Left, Center, Right)? I know it uses them for the dvd surround sound and I think I heard the door chimes come from the driver...
A well experienced custom rim shop told me I can use anything from 35 psi to 42 psi, with 35 psi being a softer ride for that size BUT higher risk of getting bent if I hit a big pothole OR higher pressure up to 42 psi for a stiffer ride but more rim protection against potholes, etc...
So I...
I assume the 2022 rims will fit a 4th Gen Escalade as well? 2018 to be exact... It's already setup with 26s just want something for Winter and long highway trips :)
I'm confused what to run as some places say run the same as oem, some say run 35psi some say run 45psi as it will help protect the rim...
I tried 45 psi and it rode like a wooden wagon. I then tried 35 psi and it was a day and night difference to 45 psi but not sure if that's correct for a...
Lol that's funny cos I've been using a "cheap" one on my 800+hp supercharged vette that I built, FOR YEARS without any issues. Same on a few other cars and same with a few other people I know - no "catastrophic" issues, as long as you keep up with it and drain it...
If one understands how it...
Forgot to mention, I'm actually using Amsoil Signature Series ATF... Doing the oil thermostat mod this weekend. I plan to use a car trailer occasionally so its probably a good idea.
Oh I did not think about the baffle! I need to open it and see what it has. Here is the link :
EVIL ENERGY Air Oil Separator,Oil Catch Can Compatible with 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 2015-2020 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban/GMC Yukon 3OZ https://a.co/d/75QQ2jr
Well I discovered there is not really much into a catch can lol. You are basically paying for the size and the name on it. I went with one of Amazon called "Evil Energy" and it seems to be good quality and is working well.
I put some videos on a usb drive and was able to get them to play on the front screen. I was wondering, is there a way to get the same video to output to the rear screens as well?
Or when they get older lol. 17 years later my wife will say "it's too loud! Turn it down!" 17 years ago I would be like ummm you like it that loud??! Sometimes I think it depends what's playing...hmmm...
I've used the Diablosport i3 on mine. So far so good! Some people will say oh it can still mess up and you HAVE TO do the actual conversion with lifters, cam, valley plate etc. I spoke to a few tuners and they said not one they did via tuning has ever come back with the AFM issue.
I noticed my trans temp is at 185F - 190F in my 2016 ESV (8 Spd) on a warm day. This is with just two people in the vehicle and also, I have 24 inch wheels. Also I changed the fluid to Amsoil. My old 08 never use to go above 165F even with a trailer! Any concern here?
Just wondering, is there a...
The rear on mine was sitting very slightly higher and according to maxtrac it needs "broke in" for a while before it finally settles to the true height. They told me if that does not help, to grind / take one thread off the leveling sensor rods on each end. Overall I'm happy with it.
Well I received the kit and everything was very well packed and came with great instructions as well UNLIKE the Crown Suspension stuff - no instructions, poor packaging, etc.
Now here's what caught my eye - the springs from the Crown kit and Maxtrac kit are IDENTICAL with the same color, same...
