Squeaking after install of CCM Leveling Kit

Had the same problem when I did mine last year. Drove me crazy. Sprayed everything down and nothing worked. Finally traced to the the bracket that holds the brake cable on the rear passenger side. It was rubbing on the Stabilizer Link. I just zip tied a piece of rubber between them and the...

anyone else have a second "beater" ?

I have a '98 VW Diesel Beetle. 45-50 Mpg. Use it for daily 100 mile round trip to work. Even with the Beetle, I still put on almost 20k a year on the burb.

    Bull Bar

Its hard to show respect though, especially when these new rookies jerk you out of the car and search it without cause and without your permission. Well I guess that would be an exception to the rule. This didn't happen to you did it?

    Bull Bar

I agree with Sheriff that there is a new breed of guys out on the street and their lack of knowledge will get them jammed up and take down senior guys with them. Some are on a mission from the day they get out of the academy. Their the guys that don't write warnings, just tickets. Don't bother...

    Bull Bar

Wasn't refering to you Sheriff. There are others on this forum that think that. I'm in the same boat as sumo, I like look and the bar has served it's purpose more than once. I like the blacked out or murdered look even though my truck is blue. Did it on my Ram before I got the burb. The bull...

    Bull Bar

I travel 100 miles a day round trip for work. I have used my push bar many a time to move people whose cars have broken down out of a lane of traffic on the highway before they ended up as a statistic. I thinks it's funny that some people think you want to pretend to be a cop just by putting a...

    08 Z71 with 295/65/18 Goodyear Duratracs

I can't believe the hight difference with just a level lift and new tires. It looks more like a suspension lift. Looks good! Wish my burb looked like that after I did my level lift.

    Yukon XL Leveling Kit Pics

Thanks......With the CCM 2.5" in the front I don't know how much higher I can go without too much stress on the cv joints. I saw a 3" spacer for it. I don't really want to spend the money for a 3"-4" suspension lift.

    throttle body motor failure

Sorry I took so long to reply. Yes I replaced it on the 7th of this month. No more hesitation at all now. Runs very smooth in the city and highway.

    installing a leveling kit

I was wondering the same exact thing so I hope someone chimes in. I did the CCM 2.5" on my suburban, but the front didn't come up too much. I am wondering if using the RC lift with the CCM would be too much of a strain on the CV joint.

Cheapest price I found was from gmpartsdirect.com. It came out to $169.92 total.

    throttle body motor failure

So far I haven't had any problems or rattling sounds like I was having before. It idles fine now and for the most part the hesitation when I step on the gas is gone. I never got a chance to take it back apart and clean the inside like I wanted to do. Gonna try to do it this weekend. I did...

    throttle body motor failure

I've been having the same exact problem with my '07 burb, though it never shut off while driving until yesterday when of course my wife was driving. Needless to say I got a frantic phone call. Was relieved that it happened while she was pulling into a parking lot. It threw a P1516 code...

Sorry. I returned them the day I switched them out for the 1" spacers.

    Yukon XL Leveling Kit Pics

Well I took out the 1.5" spacers and put in the 1". The back still sits high. Gonna go back to stock and see how it sits. I'm guessing the springs in the suburban are a little stiffer than the tahoe because of the added weight.

    Yukon XL Leveling Kit Pics

I have the 2.5" up front. I put a 1.5" in the back due to the extra weight of the suburban in the rear. I will let it settle in for a little while to see if the back comes down at all. If not, then I will put the 1" spacers in the back.

I looked at those a couple of days ago. I was browsing some threads and you recomended them to another member. I need to find some true level ground to see if the rake is too much. If it is then I will put the 1" spacers in the back and get the air bags to compensate for the gear I put in.

    Yukon XL Leveling Kit Pics

Every truck I had I lifted it. Just like the look a lot better than stock. I have a '98 diesel beetle that I lifted too. I did a 1.5" lift in the rear because of family trips. It sits nice on level ground, but you can see in the second pic that even at a slight incline the back sits higher.

No tires or wheels just yet. May just stick with the factory wheels and throw on some 285's in the spring. Starting the install today at noon eastern.
