What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Maybe just dust? Also its been raining alot, so if it sits the rotors will get rusty, until you drive it. Maybe you have a little rust build up? Btw--I have that jack in aluminum, it's great!

    2005 Tahoe 4.8 Shaky crankshaft

From what I've read--and seen myself--it's somewhat common. My 05 Chevy Express wobbles. Bought it with 110k, it now has 151k. Also has the 4.8.

Welcome from NJ. These rigs aren't very complicated to work on. If you can turn a wrench, you can fix almost anything on them. You will learn alot if you stick around. Where state are you from?

I've actually tried a few different combos to correct it. Nothing worked. I think I might've gotten a little wobble out of it, but it's hard to verify since I was alone. Worse case scenario I'll just buy another shaft.

I only drove around my neighborhood. Didn't notice anything different. Feels exactly the same. Guess I'll need to take it up to speed on a highway.

Which gearbox did you go with? OEM? Who rebuilt it? I hear used/rebuilt is a gamble.

I did that. I loosened the nut and pulled/yanked up on the shaft as I retightened. Same deal. I think the only way to fix it is to buy another lower shaft. Nope. I'm gonna run it for awhile, see what happens. Honestly I think it'll be fine tho.

Supposed to be straight but I banged it to slide the other end into the steering box shaft. I opened the opening a bit--so in Americanese--I fu-c-k-ed it up. I'm hoping it'll be ok.

I think there was a steering sensor above the shaft where it's bolted to the column-- It's the round white disc in the upper left of the pic.

Just documenting my steering shaft replacements. Did upper and lower shafts. Pain in the balls like everything else on this Hoe! Done--but to 90% correctness. Call it good for government work! Pics to satisfy all you voyeurs! Upper shaft. It's best to remove the gas pedal to get to the bolt...
