Yeah - I believe it only works with the AC on and the vents in the dash position.
So, it appears that the recalibration by unplugging the battery has solved my issue for now. I will keep an eye on it over the next week, hopefully the luke-warm air doesn't return.
I don't think I am going to buy a Tech clone. Are there cheaper options?
The heat seemed to work better on my commute this morning. But it is just a guess at this point. This is only my 2nd winter with the Tahoe, but I seem to think it was better last year. Or, I could just be nutso.
Went on a short ride. Heat seems to be working much better after the re-initialization.
Not sure how it got out of calibration. I will report back in the morning after 10 hours of sitting in ~30 weather.
Not sure if I should order an actuator and change it out before winter. But the repair...
Okay - both hoses are hot entering/exiting the cab. Did a reset of the system by disconnecting the battery.
I also noticed that the recirc button flashes 3 times when pushed. Does this only work in certain modes? I checked "auto" and a few manual vent positions - same result
Unfortunately it is dark and cold when I get home from work, lol. But, I will pull the shroud covering the fan motor tonight under the glovebox. Will I be able to see the actuator move visually?
2011 Tahoe LT Dual zone with rear heat...
Concerns: The temperature coming out from the floor/vents/defrost isn't very hot.
What am I looking at here? Actuator?
The volume of air moving seems proper, the controls to move positions (floor/dash/defrost) works.
I have ordered a new...
These fans are very loud on high - WHEN EVEN ONLY ONE IS RUNNING!!!
When I changed my radiator, I didn't plug the driver's side in all the way. If your "fans" are loud, I would first visually check to see if they are both running. The computer must sense a fault and kick the other side into...
It looks like the shift handle is readily available, but the "guts" are an eBay item (not a fan of going this route) or ~$140.
part no. 19435091
Perhaps I will dig in there and see if something is amiss of worn.
It really only happens after using reverse. I am just to slow releasing the pullback - I am not even sure if it is needed coming out of "R".
It doesn't slip into "M" without pulling it back (even if it is very slight)
Over the weekend:
New Amazon radiator
Gates belt, pulley and tensioner kit
The Lisle belt tool (59560) worked great for the stretch AC belt.
Everything went about as smoothly as I could have hoped for. Haven't had this happen in a while it seems :).
Maybe I am too ham ******...
It seems the column shifter goes into "M' easier than I would like. I am commonly 50 feet down the road and notice the tranny is still in 1st.
Is there a way to tighten this up? Anyone else feel the same?
Unfortunately, I will be uninstalling and returning the head unit. It is a shame because it does so many things correct but fails on 2 basic things.
1. Using the "voice" button on the stereo does not launch Siri. You either have to yell "Hey Siri" or hold the button on the screen. The voice...
Yes it uses the phone, but there is also a slot to install a sim card - so it can have it's own network. The unit has navigation built in and an antennae. But, I just use google maps through Carplay
The sound is very good until you really push it, better than stock. The stock speakers are not the best.
There is a "32 band equalizer" that seems to work to adjust to taste.
I'll see if I can get a video up later this week, I'll go through the setting and stuff - I have never posted anything...
